I have often wondered if those people approach the rest of their lives like that
Why would you think that?

I have a very satisfying life buddy, but I also have high expectations of a club that won a flag two years ago. A lot of us thought we had a dynasty in the making. A lot of people thought we had the best player list in the competition. Well there is a huge discrepancy between the aspirations and the facts. That's why there's so much angst. If we supported Melbourne we'd be used used to it and we wouldn't care.

It's only because we care and love the Collingwood Football Club that we get so pissed off by the incompetence of the righest club in the land. The happiest time on Nick's ever was the early part of 2011 when we dominated the competition and everyone thought the future was secure (of course we all knew that Mick was going). Right now I don't know what the future holds. All bets are off in my book.

Quoted for truth. I don't understand how anyone could be not hacked off about this.

This site used to be a good avenue for info, conversation and funny reading.

Now.. It gives nothing.

Its gone that far backwards in the past 18 months it is unrecognisable. I guess thats what happens when too many people find out about a good thing. You end up with every idiot inside.

Shame really. Time to move to the next site, i guess...
Don't go, stay and use the blue button to report these tools. There's only a small handful of them, don't let them win.

So, where's your contribution to info, conversation and humour, Burnsy ?

Surely, the answer to overcome or balance the lack of those would be a positive, informative, even humourous response.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

Because it gets bloody tiring coming onto a site and battling with these idiots day after day, or having to watch them consistently destroy valid thread (both positive and negative in their nature) with ridiculous arguments that are only intended to inflame other posters and spoil their enjoyment of visiting the site in the first place.

Using the "ignore" button only does so much because in most cases the point and tone of the thread gets changed and you end up just reading what other posters write in response to their posts.

Or......the Mods could just use the "ban" button and let Nicks get back to the forum it used to be.

Nicks does tend to be overtaken by trolls every time we lose.Every single thread is taken over by the same few people who say the same things over and over again.

I've been pretty stressed, angry, depressed this season so far but after the last 2 weeks I have found inner peace once again.
I have come to accept that we aren't a contender anymore this year, and no longer expect to win most weeks.
Every win from now will be a bonus, and every quarter won a hope of greater things to come.
It's nice on the other side.
I don't pretend to know why this is happening nor have the arrogance to suggest what the club should do, but in the end it's a game and ill enjoy supporting them through this tough period as I have before.
BTW being a paid member doesn't earn you the right to demand anything from the club other than your admission through the gate. I've not seen a membership package include the right to slander the club at any opportunity.

Why don't you do your job and ban these trolls.

Instead of questioning the passionate positive supporters why not deal with the trolls.

My opinion is not new Donny and is shared by many on here but ignored by the individuals with the power to make a change.

VPT is not worth accessing and now the main board is going the same way.

P.S. Don't blame the messenger. It is how I feel and is a genuine comment.

I get over the losses pretty quick these days and look forward to a turnaround next week.

Knobs who constantly talk negative crap(and geez there's a plethora of them on here led by Mr doopy clappa knobslappa himself) will end up with egg on their faces in a few months.... watch
Don't count the days, make the days count.
