Besides the hamstring strain, Bucks was also carrying an ankle injury which so far has only required maintenance therapy. The rest will do him good as we require a fit Buckley for an Eagles team that will be close to full strength, but a team that we should also beat. As for Melbourne, they will be fired up for the return of Jeff Farmer and Schwarz's 150th. Burnsey looks likely to miss again, so it's up to Richo and Pebbles to provide the onfield leadership. But if he comes up, it could be at the expense of Tubby. Steiner's injury is similar to Bucks in that, up until a few weeks ago, all he required was maintenance therapy. If he comes up, it could be in the place of Dimma. Scotland was stiff to miss against the Swans, so he could be a chance given Buck's likely absence from the midfield. Chippa had a sensational BOG performance for Willy against Port Melb, so he's a great chance; we need his sikly finishing skills, his pace and his ability to take on and beat opponents. Maybe at the expense of Ukovic? Didak was a livewire for parts of the Willy game, so he's also a chance, possibly in place of Roids.
My ideal team for Melbourne would be:
B: Wakelin, Prestigiacomo, Freeborn
HB: N. Davis, Richardson, Lonie
C: Steinfort (?), Burns (?), Lockyer
HF: Holland, Fraser, Clement
F: Tarrant, Molloy, L. Davis
FOLL: Rocca, O'Bree, Licuria
INTER: Betheras, Atkins (?), Scotland (?), Didak/Johnson (?)

Strange - today's papers say the opposite. Don't believe anything a week before the game.
It would be in our best interests for Bucks NOT to play, and instead give him a clear 3 weeks to fully recover from all niggles with the Hammy and ankle. The long-term view of the season should be taken into account here, and hopefully that's what MM was doing by not putting Bucks back on when he clearly wanted to be out there.
Let's see the team redeeem itself without him.

Grr, I wish chippa would come back I think he'll make a pretty big difference.
As for Bucks, if he really is injured even just the tiniest bit I think its best that he doesn't play for a few weeks, we need him for the end of the season when we play our toughest opponents we can't risk him playing on injury even if its just a slight one.
Has any1 heard what's going on with Burnsy, our backline is missing him hard, he's a champ!

Ummmz i reckon the media is talkin shit ... because, it would said it in the AFL site And Secondly ... Malthouse said the club's doctors said Buckley might have been capable of going back on. and also losing 4 pts is nothing compared to losing a "Champion" For 3 weeks.
So what does that tell ya ... And remember against north melbums they said buckley wont play.. and then on that sunday he came on the ground un hurt.
thridly i know he was carryin an injury again Carlton and u could tell.
Anyways Best Of Luck Bucks!! We Still Love Ya!
