No need for the IMO or an apology. Clearly the best win since Buckley took over. Easily!

Can't see how Jolly and Daisy can get back into this team (or Seedsman at the moment either).
I can't see anyone else breaking into that team unless there's an injury. Given the lateness of the season, I think even Daisy will struggle to get back in.......but then again....
I think you're right, but odds are that the medical room will probably give us a space, eventually. But it's an interesting question - who exactly would you drop out of this side, right now, for a fit Daisy Thomas ? Dwyer ? That'd feel incredibly tough, but there is probably a class difference. Perhaps Caff, though he was excellent tonight.

Very true. An amazing night really when I thought the only player who didn't play a role in the win was Travis Cloke.

I am really excited about Reg (Grundy). After three games I think we've got a real keeper. And he can only get better over the next four or five years.

The win was made even more special because we had to beat one AFL ring-in (Tippett), 21 on-field opponents (yes the maggots again), and three absolute dipsticks in the commentary box who raved on about Sydney even when we were pantsing them. To add insult to injury BT was calling the wrong names of Collingwood players all night. Either he doesn't care or was drunk. Pathetic Channel Seven (who continue to plumb the depths of world sports telecasting).

Grundy and Keeffe have made such a difference to the side.

Keeffe has filled the backman role left by Reid, This has reconstructed our forward line.

Grundy rucked near on all night against an experienced monster and did an exceptional job.

I will say it once again as I have said for the last two seasons....

We look a far better side when we are kicking running goals... stop start just does not suite our style of play.

Buckleys best win since being a coach

Death of a friend in Brazil. Harry was pretty fired up in consequence.
I felt for Harry. I didn't like the way McVeigh got stuck into him before the game started. McVeigh, of all people, who should know a thing or two about depression after the loss of his child. But clearly it seems he said something to Harry and it wouldn't take Einstein to figure out the gist of it. Poor form McVeigh after all the sympathy you elicited two years ago.

Well played Harry O.

Take Tippets great effort out of the equation then we would have thrashed them.

Tippet is going to be a big problem for all opponents.

And look at the Swans score line after the 1st qtr 4 goal rush and it shows we beat them good and proper

And, unless I'm mistaken, some of you lot got stuck into me when I was too flippant about McVeigh. My my he certainly was worthy of your sympathy.

It just makes me weep. Beautiful, glorious victory. Stars, every one of them.

Regardless of what we say, every single one of our players out there in the past 2weeks, now believes we can win the flag. Each believes in each other. Each has bought into Buck's game plan and this game plan is being executed with both extreme passion and power. Step 1.

They fear us now - Step 2.

This is one damn seriously good team that will only get better by the week!

Carlscum get rolled by the Bulldogs - tick.

Collingwood beat Sydney at their own game - tick.

All we need now is for the Essendopers to lose for the PERFECT weekend.

It's been a while coming, but it's worth the wait.

Great to see Ben Johnson come onto the ground at the end of the game, this would have inspired many of the players....

Like I said in the game day thread. Even though they kicked the first 4 goals it felt like we were on our game. I knew we would come back. We are playing a more contested accountable brand of footy. We were still doing that when we got 4 goals behind. I knew the wheel would turn our way if we just persisted because we were having a real crack.

I had a big day today. Watched every minute of the Dog's win (usually I don't watch all of other teams' games) and cheered every goal they kicked. Then tonight I drove our dog into the spare room for fear I would burst a boiler. What a day! And now I celebrate with a double Scotch and some Rocky Road. If we win the flag it will be Dom Perignon 2003 Vintage ($330 a bottle) and caviar. :D

Couldn't believe some of those decisions against us in the first 10mins giving the Swans a leg up .. half time the count was 14-8 against us.

Very proud of the team tonight .. lots of Pies supporters at the game who made their presence felt.

All up a great night at the footy.
