I don't think you'll find too many people with an IQ above 2.5 that would disagree with that "KFC is the devil............ etc........" sentiment. :D
Although a twister does go down alright at about 2am on the way home from a big night!

^ Equally sad if the "let's hold hands and submit to everyone's requests because it makes us feel warm and fuzzy" view became the dominant one.
Well-meaning people leave things open for ill-meaning people to manipulate. (I'm not saying this is Fawad's intention, but it opens a can of worms for down the track).
There must be a balance, it's called fairness for all.

In my opinion, this particular circumstance has Fawad placing his personal feelings, above those of the team he's representing.
Whilst it may be correct from a certain point of view to point out -"it's only a logo, what's the big deal if he doesn't wear it?" - it is equally correct to point out from the opposing point of view, "it's only a logo, what's the big deal if he wears it?"

This is the sort of issue that helps in unnecessarily creating a divide amongst the community IMO.

I'm not really sure what the slippery slope is supposed to be here. Fawad's a Muslim; everybody knows that devout Muslims don't drink alcohol. It's a bit of a no-brainer.

If a player comes along and says that, I dunno, Spicers Papers is against his beliefs, that can be dealt with on its merits. In the meantime, the precedent set here is as limited as it is obvious.

Nobody has asked Fawad to drink alcohol.

A SMALL fish with a big reputation - for biting off the testicles of men in the waters of Papua New Guinea - is on the move. It has made its way to France and there are fears it could be headed for London next.

Ah so once again we have to make an exception for the Muslim. What if he was a Christian?

I work with a Muslim, she drinks like a fish!

Sometimes there shouldn't be exceptions. If the sponsor objects, what to do? One player isn't the team. You save the team. And then of course you get accused of racism. Over a barrel as usual. Right where they want you.

Also, don't the sponsors pay the wages of the players? Therefore is he willing to give up the percentage of his wage that comes from that sponsor? Ie if the company is supply half the sponsorship money for the team, he only gets 50% pay?

Sounds fair

Ludicrous might be a better description.

I think it's a dangerous precedent not to mention hypercritical, he is in a team I would assume with some drinkers and maybe even the odd gambler and he shares a close relationship with these fellows.
