Have not read this thread at the moment. Will leave it for another day.
We were pretty close to full strength and fell well short. Out delivery into the forward 50 and our foot skills cost us dearly.
Time for a bit of a rethink and a different or refined approach.
Our team is certainly not without talent but we need to improve significantly next year to be truly competitive.

bucks knew that lynch was under a injury cloud. why didn't he name jolly, huddo or witts as a emgergency. having keeffe play in as 2nd ruck was not on and then him playing in forward line when he has been in backline all year.
shaw has to stop reacting to players that are on him. also rumours are starting to come out about him going to another club. (i know he is contracted for a few more years)
maxy where you want me to start. time to hand the captaincy over to pendles.
bucks only had 1 game plan for the night which has cost us now.

The Hawks, when faced with the same issue against the Swan they changed their game plan and kicked short to a target just inside the 50. We just kept on bombing it in and turning it over. Exhausting for no reward.winpies wrote:This is what bothers me. Wee seem to continually bomb the ball inside our forward 50. It seems to me to be a kick and hope plan. Hardly ever do we look for or have a forward target leading to advantage.Neil Appleby wrote:Even when we had the momentum, Port were able to regain it partly due to our hopeless disposal inside 50.
Very frustrating tonight that is for sure.

I said PERFORM, but some of you wouldn't know good performance if it hit you in the moosh! You continue to support rat**** performances because you are so loyal. Well good for you, enjoy being mediocre for another couple of decades, because you can be sure the Suns, Western Bulldogs, Adelaide, West Coast, North Melbourne, Brisbane Lions, and Essendon will all be engaged in a severe battle to make the finals next year. That is why Collingwood will miss the eight next year. Lock it in unless there are some serious changes in structure and attitude at this rich, fat, smug and underperforming club.mandy wrote:Fixed.jack_spain wrote:perform or piss off! Hear hear!Pa Marmo wrote:Oh my goodness, window shut, sack the coach, sack Brown, clear out Daisy, for fuc sake people, harden the fuc up. We lost a final, on the back of our second annus horribilus in a row. Multiple injuries to key players, many interrupted pre-seasons and several minor scandals. As I posted in another thread:
Toovey back, a full unhindered pre-season into Beams, Ball, Young, Fasollo, Keefe and perhaps Daisy if he stays. Grundy and Witts to take centre stage and Lord knows what miracles Hine will work this year. Young Broomhead, who can obviously play, will get an uninterrupted pre-season and I have no doubt will debut. Perhaps a fitness department make over is on the cards and who knows what free agency is going to deliver.
I'm saddened by last night but extremely pumped for what lies ahead, bring on 2014 and the return of the MIGHTY FIIGHTING PIE.

Don't rush on our account!jack_spain wrote:I am looking forward to watching the Victory and Heart (especially with Harry Kewell at Heart). The A-League is going places and Postocoglou might just be the best coach of any sport in the country.ANNODAM wrote:Well I love the off-season.
Glad it's over to be honest.
Now for some warm weather & holidays...
I have 6 holidays planned from 25/9 until Easter next year, cool as!
As for the footy I might be back.
