Sad day for the club for sure.

Ron is a massive reason why I am a pies fan. He took my Uncle to the footy back in the late 50's who was then a Saints fan, then that same Uncle (who I still go to the footy with) took my Dad to the footy. Obviously they all became Pies fans then.

RIP Ron.

Ron Richards was Collingwood royalty. Black and White blood in his veins. They make them no better than this wonderful Collingwood man who I remember sitting on the bench and the rain and cold during our Victoria Park games supporting Hafey issuing his tactical orders to the troops on the field so Peter could convey them as our famous runner.

RIP you great man. You will never be forgotten.

I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Growing up as a Collingwood child from the late 70s this was THE man who was there every minute, communicating with the faithful.

Very significant passing, massive respect for this man and oh my god what a Collingwood family.

Thank you Ronny.

You will always be remembered.

RIP Ron.
Met and spoke to Ron a number of times, as a kid when he was coaching u19s and as an adult, always in admiration.

He went to Collingwood tech with my father

He was in my opinion the best juniors or under 19's coach there was. He groomed many a legend.

Collingwood through and through.

A true gentleman of the game now gone.
I have a lazy eye and I think it is now spreading throughout the rest of my body
