Why lets ask Kinky:
From "The Mens room in LA"
I saw a picture yesterday
In a men's room near l.a.
He is in his mid 60's, Irish, (he came out when he was two) and a staunch Republican.
He's also a poet and (back in the dae) did a reading tour through Scotland and Ireland (Only the bottom bit)
He bought a copy of Bourke's Peerage and in every pub tavern or Uni he spoke at he'd tear off a few pages and substitute it for the toilet paper.
He wasn't rich and couldn't afford to buy many copies but copies mysteriously started turning up in his hotle room, at the bars he drank at and even once on bus.
He told me it went viral (well back before things went "viral") and copies of Bourke's peerage were getting hard to come by.
They had to close Trinity Universities sewerage system for two days because of the amount of high quality book paper flushed down the lavvies.
I asked him if the same had thing happened in Scotland?
He said No, they were all blocked well before he got there!
What are you listening to right now?

Wire-Blessed State.
Wire-The 15th
I've just gotten into this punk/post punk band. Quite experimental but without disappearing up their own backside. Their debut Pink Flag is a more typical punk album with very short, punchy songs and great energy but their later stuff in particular their 1979 classic 154 departs from that formula to a much more atmospheric and synth laden place.
Check them out, they are very, very good.

Bought that CD recently after seeing him live at the 9th Annual Grand-Final Eve Pie Night & he was interviewed today & played on Libby Gore's 774 programme mid morning

King Crimson - "Asbury Park" from the USA 40th anniversary remaster. Just arrived by post.
About 6 seconds in, Fripp shouts out the key and away go the Crimsons, into the unknown for about 10 or 11 minutes. Collective improvisation at its best.
Hard to imagine that Bill Bruford has retired from drumming. I know he wanted to quit while he was ahead but, really, he was so far ahead it's hard to imagine him ever coming back to the pack.

Went and bought the Missus a fresh car yesterday.
Bought it of a friend and we took it for a took it for a test drive on the Mt Cameron rd (where parts of Mad Max were filmed).
Turned on the radio and this was playing.
Better days.....(Bruce).
