I've heard and read a lot about the great mark of Chris Tarrants on Monday, but can you guys remember the next one he took?
It was in my opinion a better team mark. He contested HARD and was upended, the ball spilled forward of goal and was kicked high towards goal. Chris showed remarkable recovery in getting up quickly and running with the flight of the ball to launch himself, almost as high as his first screamer, and take the ball on his chest.
The Ch.7 "isocam" has fantastic footage of this, barely at all in his run towards goal did he take his eye off the ball. Athletisism and courage, a perfect example to teammates of what is required at this level of football.
Take another look, you'll enjoy it.
yeah that reaked of a carey effort, even though i HATE carey, you got to admire the way he can run into a pack and take a screamer. tarrant the next carey? i hope so.
The second mark impressed me too. I hate to say it as well but it was very "Carey" like. He just wanted the footy and put his body on the line to get it.
