Like many others I don't want anymore dwarfs even though the draft is heavy with them.
Who do we draft and who does this player play like? I read we were keen on Salem who is a Hodge type.
Interested to hear from anyone who has seen these guys play.

Kolodjashnij at no 6 if available. Have you seen his left foot and decent size at 190 cm, looks similar to Isaac Smith of Hawthorn.
Most likely Bontempelli at pick 10 another decent size defender who can probably play up the ground and can take a decent grab

I was hoping for this with 10 & 11. Although if Lennon slides to 6 we should grab him and the best or whichever one is left out of Bon/Kol.Johnno75 wrote:Kolodjashnij at no 6 if available. Have you seen his left foot and decent size at 190 cm, looks similar to Isaac Smith of Hawthorn.

Would we be hoping that Moore will be that guy?magpieazza wrote:Would like to see an up and coming Centre h/f, to fill in Clokes' position in coming years and/or play if Cloke is injured in future.
A tallish quick midfielder.

We need to draft someone with an appropriately phallic name. Over the last seasons we've lost our Cox, our Dick was not able to get up and so was removed and now our Johnson is gone too.
We still have a Ball and our Golden Sack along with our Ferrous side rectum but we're seriously lacking in the phallic department. Josh Thomas is no John Thomas I'm sorry. We might have a Young CLINT but we haven't been able to find him on the park enough.
Anyone standing up in the potential draftees to fill this gaping hole in our list?

A 6' 3'' midfielder/back/forward ball magnet who can run like the wind, is tough in and under and with blistering pace hurts teams on the outside, has great endurance and elite skills on both sides and brilliant overhead, can go forward and kick goals and can go back and play on smalls and talls alike.

Hine said on SEN the other day they will draft the best available (this term is often used I thought to be contrasted with drafting for need). I suppose it can mean many things. If best available is say Aish who is not a big fella, do we take him?rad wrote:Like many others I don't want anymore dwarfs even though the draft is heavy with them.

If Aish &/or Sharenberg &/ or Bontempelli (pls excuse spelling) are available at 6 who do you pick?

I'm not a U18 footy watcher so based purely on available highlight video and written profiles my preference is for 185cm+ quick players at both picks.
Pick 6: Boyd won't slip to 6 even if GWS don't select him so I'd be happy with any 1 of the following - Aish, Kelly, Scharenberg, Kolodjashnij or Billings. Lean toward Scharenberg & Kolodjashnij because they're taller and offer some flexibility.
Pick 10: We've added Adams via trading and we picked up Broomhead and Kennedy last season and while you can't have too many midfielders, we do already have Swan, Pendlebury, Ball, J Thomas, Dwyer, Sidebottom, Beams, Blair, Macaffer & Martin as mid rotations. Like to see the club opt for McCarthy, Bontempelli , Lennon or Acres.

The combination of Lennon and McCarthy might be good to see when on song...........jackcass wrote:I'm not a U18 footy watcher so based purely on available highlight video and written profiles my preference is for 185cm+ quick players at both picks.
