Also wants to play in the midfield, or even half back more than forward, and that's what he's discussed with Collingwood at this stage. Played there for just about the full season last year. So there's another taller mid at 190cm. Our Pendlebury back up if you will .
I am a little weary of this recruit, but I'm also aware that we didn't lose too much for him either so there won't be a great load of pressure for Karnezis to succeed right away. I hope that his lack of progress of Brisbane was only because of his key motivation to return to Victoria and play for the Pies.
It's great that he's at the club he always wanted to play for, so I guess he'll work his hardest to improve substantially from his Lions days. I don't expect him to be in the senior side immediately, but hopefully he works hard enough to earn his place in the senior side.

As a type, I very much like this signing. At 190cm with good pace, good skills and the ability to play forward, wing or half back, we have a player who is a chance to find a spot in the team and give us that bit of extra height and versatility. We lost a player who was unlikely to find his way into the team, so if it works, great, if it doesn't, nothing lost.
