Really unfortunate for the young guy how it (supposedly) hasn't worked out. I know I have been really excited the past few years about him and felt he could have been a perfect fit in our forward line now we have lost Krak. I understand the club's wishes not to draft him though as he's way too small and will get rag dolled. Best of luck to him though

Maybe it was between him and Tony Armstrong for the second indigenous position at the club....Az wrote:Really unfortunate for the young guy how it (supposedly) hasn't worked out. It's got little to do with his size.
I hear he did not apply himself sufficiently over the past 12 months and is simply not the player the club had hoped he would develop into. He's a nice kid, so I hope he finds another pathway in life. Who knows, maybe he just needs a couple of years to mature a bit and work out what's important in his life. He wouldn't be the first one to take a while to grow up.

I hear the WWF is reforming in the 80s style and he will be tag teaming against King Kong Bundy.RudeBoy wrote:It's got little to do with his size.

I'm really disappointed that the club hasn't released an official statement about Edwards and our decision to overlook him given we were happy to trumpet his signing early on and had been kept up to date on his progress.
Unfortunately for Edwards and the club it seemed like he hardly grew since his signing and was just to small to make it at AFL level.

He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!
It has been apparent for some time - but the rookie draft preview article linked below finally quotes Derek Hine stating that Collingwood won't be listing either of its two NSW Scholarship players (John Haggerty is the other). Neither John nor Elijah Edwards will be at the Club next year.
