May just be wishful thinking but I am more excited by this guy than the others in the draft.

If our coaches can get into his head I reckon he could be a gem.

You need to be a complete player.
Whilst I fully agree that you have to be a complete player these days to play AFL, I highly doubt that very few if any complete players are ever drafted in the national draft. They all need a bit of work, spit and polish done on them and Collingwood has the perfect off field set up to do this development stuff really well.
I'm highly optimistic, confident and convinced that they have got themselves a real beauty here and the proof will be in about 2 years time.

Something just doesn't add up. His highlight reel is on our website.

As AFL Media's draft expert Callum Twomey put it, the 18-year-old "has a highlights package like no other. Marsh might be the most unpredictable player in the draft."

I cannot fathom how he was not picked earlier. Someone of that size and pace. Even we were willing to let him go elsewhere when we used picked sixty whatever on someone else.

I cannot see how he is unpredictable. I see him as being predictably exciting,

But there was not much to show outside of that higlights reel from what I gather. Drifted out of games big time.
Colts form in WA wasn't anything special.

Agree there is upside with some time spent developing him though.
Quick, good size and can kick the ball a mile. Very raw but promising.

Just watched the recruiters highlights package on the cfc website they posted today. Bloody hell, if they can get some consistency into him, this kid will be a massive weapon. Hard to believe someone with a highlights package like that could be overlooked by so many teams, even if he does drift in and out of games.

On raw talent he looks like he could be an absolute gem. Fingers crossed our development program can see him becoming more consistent and he dominates in the VFL this season.

It might take a couple of years to iron out all the flaws that we don't get to see here but get this kid right and he'll be the biggest draft steal since clubs got a whole lot more professional when it comes to recruiting.

Has a bit of Sean Rusling about him. Let's hope he can stay on the park!

A couple of things that could have made recruiters wary:
- no good in a marking contest and is never likely to make it as a KPP
- lacks for stamina and could struggle to make it as a mid or running half forward
Well done boys!

As Albert Parker said, drifted in and out of games. Too inconsistent. Looks a million bucks one minute and not worth a dime the next. And his draft combine, where he tested off the charts, didn't amount to a damn thing in the eyes of recruiters.

Not all that excited about him, to be honest. Him and Langdon are bonus players in my view. I'll contain my unrealistic excitement to Scharenberg and Freeman, as well as a kid called Broomhead, who was taken with a 1st round pick and is yet to debut...

Watching the highlights, there's a bit of Jared Brennan about him.

http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/video/2 ... highlights

Think this clip may be a bit different. Could be anything really. Super athletic and can kick. Won't be able to pull off as many don't-argues against men, but will be able to burn them off still.

I am not as hard on Marsh as you. That Skill and Athleticism you hardly see and I back our Development to get the best out of him.

I agree with Langdon. Not a Big Fan
