Tell me it was an Avante Guard film fest and not the gold-coast?

Girls is Sex in the city with-out the materialism and vapid conversations?
Sex in the City but with no costumes and no dialogue?
still boring.

Not far off, 3! It was the Brisbane International Film Festival. We did spend an afternoon at the Gold Coast, however, and yes, it was pretty horrible (unfortunately Ms. Troll's parents live there).

On the upside, only 27 more sleeps until Raylan Givens is back in my life!

We've been into "A Moody Christmas".

An Australian comedy series.

It's a great series, well written, funny & well acted - on the ABC.

Mrs WPT bought the Danish series of "The Killing" (although it's a few years old)

Brilliant series so far. Still got a fair way to get through the series.

True Detective starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. 8 episode season that has completely different cast and story for the next one.

2 episodes in and it's completely brilliant. I'm hooked!

Yeah that's really good.

If you like graphic fight scenes (brilliantly staged), gore and sex on display then give Banshee a try.

Stui and TP this is a show made for the both of you.

An American fly on the wall doco being shown on SBS2 called "The World of Jenks" on Sunday nights has been a ripper of a series: Following three young people:

1. A young woman with cancer who is trying to make it in the fashion industry
2. A young large obese autistic male who wants to be independent yet (has been) allowed to sleep in his parents bedroom
3. A young African american guy & 3 mates trying to get a break as hip hop performers (they are talented) rather than end dead, on drugs or in jail.

The film maker Jenks has a lovely manner, humility, respect for his "subjects" & grace about him.
