From Misandry (and I'll read your articles later David), to a few highlights from the "Hermit Kingdom" of Nth Korea.

Holy damn wow.

http://www.news.com.au/world/life-insid ... 6801183991
The nation has so little electricity that, in the ultimate metaphor, night-time satellite imagery shows North Korea gone dark, the only country in the world not illuminated.
n North Korea, a ballpoint pen is considered a luxury item. Men make it to their mid-20s without knowing that women menstruate, or what menstruation even is. The use of anaesthesia for surgery is a fairly recent development.
Girls cannot ride bicycles; it's considered lascivious.
Religion is a threat to the state and is banned; instead, children are raised to worship the late Kim Il-sung, who was made "president for life" four years after his death, in 1998, by his son and successor, the late Kim Jong-il. There are 34,000 statues of Kim Il-sung in North Korea, and all wedding ceremonies must take place in front of one.
All citizens must hang government-provided portraits of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il in their homes, and once a month, the police come by to inspect them. All, too, must wear uniforms, and their future careers are based on caste and dictated by the government.
Jobs often come without salaries. Those who do get a paycheck, earn, on average, between $1,000-2,000 a year. Food and clothing are rationed by the government.
That's just some of the highlights. Seriously.

A doctor in northern China has been given a suspended death sentence for abducting newborn babies and selling them to traffickers.

The former obstetrician Zhang Shuxia, 55, stole seven babies, mostly from Fuping county, by falsely telling their parents the newborns were sick or had died.

She sold them to traffickers for $3,700 for female babies and $8,600 for males, said the court.

Six of the babies were recovered safely by police and returned to their parents, but one baby was found dead in a ditch, dumped by a trafficker.

Desperate conditions can make people do terrible things to survive. Doesn't make it much less appalling, but I'm not really sure affluent Westerners like us are in much of a position to judge.

Whoa there fella, desperate conditions? We're talking about a doctor here.

Now granted, Doctors in China aren't remunerated and respected to the same degree as doctors in Western society. (if you're in China and get sick, worry that the Doctor treating you wasn't smart enough to get into engineering  http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/35a081ae-2653 ... z2qRzdtU00 )

But, you're still talking about a university educated professional working in a responsible position and still remunerated better than the average wage. I'm not sure if your post is more condescending to Chinese or Westerners.

Seriously David, what planet are you on?

Who do you not give a get our of jail free card too?

The dickhead on ice? The selfish cold calculating bitch? Matin Bryant? Jack the fricken ripper? How about Charles Manson?

Are wait we can lock up Julia Gillard!

Nail hit head!

This is not a case of poor uneducated people doing what they need to do to survive - this disgusting germ deliberately lied and no doubt inflicted great suffering and grief for the parents for money

I reckon we affluent Westerners can judge how the parents of the baby who was found dead dumped in a ditch by her fellow scumbags felt having been told by a bloody doctor that their baby had already died

She should be struck off ........................................

I don't know the details of the situation, but I'm just hypothesising that the motivation here might be more than mere greed. People just don't do this kind of stuff because they want a second car.

Here's a thought, don't do that. All that does is overlay your own value system over a situation to try to explain why it happened. It doesn't help in any way shape or form to explain it, as the person is highly unlikely to share your value system.

Just look at the facts as presented, skip the imagination.
