Revenue share should be based on advertising / marketing and revenue. If the womans game prints in the same share of revenue as the mens game, then they deserve equal pay. If it's not, then they should earn an amount commensurate with the revenue they generate.
Time on court might be one factor that determines appropriate pay.

Yep. If the revenue they generate through ticket sales and TV rights and so on is equal (love to see the numbers on that!), then they should get paid the same. Sure, they only play three sets, but if the revenue they generate in those three sets is equal to the revenue the men generate in five, then they deserve to share equally in that revenue.
But is it equal? Do more people watch the men or the women? I have no idea. On the face of things, the three-set cape seems like a scam, but who can point us at some evidence one way or the other?
At my local Aldi as I was heading toward the one register that was open it seemed so was everyone else and the young check out bloke called that #4 will be open soon. I started heading that way when out of nowhere this woman jumped the que and the fella called out #5 so she stepped back to $5 desperate to get in first. Well as I wheeled my trolley past #4 it opened and I got in first. Apparently #4 & 5 were opening but the #4 check out opened up first.
I let the actual bloke who was first go in before me but I made this daughter of satan getteth behind me.
