That series on SBS, Generation War, was brilliant, war from the German side in WW2, very very good show. Its on SBS online on demand, if you are into history and WW2, do yourself a favour and watch it. Highly recommended, brilliant acting, and very anti war too.

Not a series but Sunday nights: "A Broken Shore" from the great novel by our own Peter Temple. Great watch & highly recommended (novel especially) as well as this show. If you've got access to "iView" it's bloody good.

I loved Deadwood. One of my all time favourites.
Seen a few episodes of True Detective. Another HBO classic. It's great stuff. Gritty cops down in Louisiana - Woody Harrelson & Matthew McConaughey (who is brilliant).

The Fall.

A BBC production set in Northern Ireland and starring Gillian Anderson of x-files fame.

It's a crime drama and she plays a police detective/inspector on the hunt for a serial killer.

It's not bad and you see a lot of the story from the side of the killer.

Only 5 one hour episodes in season 1.

Generation War was terrific; kind of the German take of Band of Brothers. There's a new spy drama on SBS too starring a David Tennant (recent Dr Who)......The Spies of Warsaw - easy to find in the View Again section.

BTW, Netflix released the entire Season 2 of House of Cards yesterday. It's already appearing on P2P sites.
After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

This series has taken a turn for the worse from the get go.

Is it about politics or serial killing?

Far fetched and dumb with a main character now so unlikeable it's impossible to root for him.

Breaking Bad this ain't.

You should try and track down the original British series of the same name. It was a ripper.
You know how you often hear people say,
"You may well think that, but I couldn't possibly comment?"
That came from the original Francis Urquart's silver tongue.

Anyone else watch Those That Kill this week?

I'm not sure how I feel. Felt like it should have been a movie, and would have been pretty a pretty good one. I don't know how they can make a whole season about it but am interested enough in the 2 main leads pasts to keep watching.

Oh, and I pretty much love everything Chloe Sevigny does hopefully it doesn't disappoint.
