Try Thailand then Anything goes. They had to decommission pedestrian crossings because the Thais ignored them. And the foreigners riding motor bikes and scooters with no experience, no helmet and totally pissed off their heads is routine. I thought about getting a bicycle for Boom and I but it is too dangerous. Mayve one of those motorised one. Police use road laws as a pocket money raiser.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

OK I LoLed when I saw this.

I think the rider although had the right to ride where she did she did not weigh up if it was safe to do so. She did NOT use her common sense(yes I realise I'm talking about someone riding a bike in the CBD) and hang back and the first thing out of her mouth was "I need your details" while she was still in the gutter.

Did she plan this?

She may have, but the gent involved is screwed and he should expect a nice fine coming forward even if he did come forward after the event. He should also be charged for leaving the scene of an accident. To add, had the Taxi pulled into the gutter correctly the cyclist would not have been able to continue on that path they would have had to go around the RHS and be doored instead.

Now in saying that, riding a cycle, motor cycle you need to be aware that no one is looking for you and you are invisible. It's no good being in the right if you are dead.

Yeah, bingo. By the look of it she wasn't going that fast but should have had the nouse to see that a taxi carrying customers had pulled in and that logically they would be getting out on the left side. Completely understandable that the bloke in the taxi wouldn't look to see if it was clear to open the door, he may not have even known there was a bike lane there. She certainly contributed to the accident by being dumb and her behaviour afterward bordered on the self entitled pap that leads to some cyclists making dumb decisions.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
