You would hope that Roos would rectify that, given his previous role in player develop at Sydney, but yeah I get what you're saying.Steve86 wrote:denied a shot to under develop and ruin him yesStupied wrote:Moore only played 75ish games for Melbourne. A question for the draft rules gurus here.
First, assume that we have to go to a round 1 pick for Moore because other clubs bid his price up. Now assume that we finish 9th and Sydney win the flag. (Just for example.) That gives us pick 10, ignoring any specials and priority picks; Sydney gets 18. Can we trade that pick 10 to Sydney in exchange (say) for their pick 18 and another pick, and still use that later first-round pick to take Moore? Or do we have to keep our original pick, whatever that happens to be?
I'm assuming the rules say no, you can't do that, but does someone know for sure?

Don't downplay the kid, he's going to be drafted by Collingwood as a father son pick.
He'll win the Brownlow, Copeland, Coleman, Norm Smith and AFLPA MVP in his first season which will go great with the premiership medallion.

He will be a top selection in the draft and we'll have to give up our first rounder for him.
He will take a few years to develop but I reckon he looks like he'll be a good player for us.
Everyone will compare him to his father, or their memories of his father, or their father's memories of his father, and so he may never quite be good enough, which is sad, until he wins his third brownlow
