Not that I am suggesting that at this very early stage that Darcy is going to be anywhere near Judd or Selwood, I do recall that they had some injury concerns going in to their drafts.

Shazza too though the jury is still out on this one.
The question was mostly tongue in cheek.

Any injury concerns are a plus for us right now, so long as they're not long term issues. Anything that lowers his value before the draft only serves to our advantage.
Ah, sorry ink.

I am pretty confident that from where we stand at the moment, we will finish somewhere between 1st and 6th at the end of the season.

This would mean our first pick will be something between 13-18, and possibly even later depending upon free agency compensation picks.

So, not a real big deal going for Darcy, at say, pick 18, as against using the number one pick if we finished last.

If we finished last we would be able to use our second rounder, since nobody could outbid our first pick.

Whats his diet like, anyone got the lowdown on that? Does he like his fruit and veg or does he just choke it down? Does he enjoy bacon? if so, crispy or lightly grilled?

I'd also like to hear about the feng shei situation in his current abode; it's critical he keeps his shakras aligned before we draft him, I can't stress that enough.

I think the club would be remiss if they didn't send a feng shui specialist, and dietitian if necessary, over to his place quick smart

Kevin Sheehan on SEN said 6 of the top 10 may be talls.

Mentioned Peter Wright and Darcy Moore as 2 to watch in the upcoming carnivals.

Also said that Moore has shot up to 199 cm over the past few months.

Not really sure how to quote this thing but this is from the AFL website - 20 players to watch in the carnival (by Callum Twomey):

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-14/t ... s-to-watch

Darcy Moore
Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro
25/1/96
199cm/93kg
Tall forward/defender
Some recruiters rank Collingwood's father-son prospect as the best player of this year's draft class. Moore, whose dad Peter played 172 games with the Magpies, has had an injury-interrupted past year or so but has strung together some games with the Oakleigh Chargers this season and impressed. Whenever the ball is in the air in his vicinity, he's there to grab it. Injury ruled him out of playing for Vic Metro last year when he was in the initial squad.

Seems to confirm the initial hype at least!

I take back my previous comment that he may be a 2nd round pick. Funny how recent match reports haven't been to inspiring yet the media keep building him up to be a potential superstar.

Let's hope they are right.

I guess you are aware that he has reportedly had a few injury issues early this season that may have affected his performances.

People need to keep in mind, that although Darcy may not be the best performed tall currently, he has pretty much everything that clubs are looking for. He is a great contested mark, can play both ends of the ground, is a beautiful kick of the footy, and is an amazing athlete (state level runner in addition to his footy). Add to that his reported leadership qualities, and it's hard to see him going outside top 5, let alone top 10. The pies are incredibly lucky to have a player of his quality available as a FS prospect.

He is the prototype of the modern KPP, and we would be batshit insane to pass him up, especially since we will only need to spend pick 18 on him ;)
