There is no way Nic Nat is worth $4 million!

Post by collie dog »

Nic Naitanui, arguably the biggest name on West Coast's list, has committed to the club until at least the end of the 2019 AFL season.
The 24 year old today signed a new five-year deal, believed to be worth as much as $4 million.

Amazing. Since he averages 10 possessions a game, each touch is worth a fortune. Over-rated much.

Hes a one trick Pony, can run and leap, takes very few grabs, just runs all over the ground, our Grundy is much better value than this galah. All froth and no bubble, tony shaw was right about him, simply is lazy and does not do enough.

There are players at clubs, like Thomas was with us, that have an appeal factor... Thomas Team for example.

Whilst this is the case, the value of 4m could possibly be offset by his marketing worth which is what I think a big portion of his contract is for.

On pure playing, he's a one rick pony.

Two issues for the WCE:

In order, 1. PR/Marketing/Image

2. Huge potential, as a player.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

Very few AFL players are "worth" what they get paid, they get paid what market forces dictate.

Same as an Actor who gets $20m for a film isn't that much better than an actor who gets $1000 for a film.

Its a joke. Aint worth more than $400k a year.

I made the call when Jacinta Watts was shit that one day someone would work out how to get him going and he would be better than Nic Nat on value for a top 2 draft pick.

And it is coming true this year for mine.

Overated, inconsistent, will kill the eagles cap management.
