Top 4 baby!

Cloke kicks 5 and getting back into some good positions.

And after St Kilda kicked the first 3 goals.

Looked a lot better as a team.

A very good win. Defense was a bit loose but that's understandable given the outs. Offensively we did brilliantly. Great to see Cloke back in touch with 5 and Elliott and Fas with 4 each, they add some much needed class to our forward line.

Of the two young mids who were given a chance in the absence of Ball and Swan: Thomas took his opportunity with both hands, 29 touches and 3 goals. Adams on the other hand was ordinary, just the 18 touches and never looked comfortable out there.

Clinton Young, I think, played his best game tonight. Got quite a bit of it (26 touches), gave us good run and also did well to help block of Reiwoldt's leads in the second half.

If you offered me 7 and 3 after our tough first part of the draw I'd take it. Very happy tonight. Cloke back in form. We were a bit sloppy a times, but some really positive signs given who was out and the injuries during the game. Glad to see us pile on the goals at the end.

Seedsman has to stay in this side now - he adds real pace. Josh Thomas was fine. Witts is getting better. Adams needs more work on his disposal. Langdon impressive again. Beams is an absolute GUN! :D

I know I should be happy with an 86 point win, but we were so sloppy at times, we should have won by 120... God I sound like Jack Spain.

Positives!

Clokey looked like he was just gaining confidence more and more in the second half. These are the games he needs to find his form in and he's done it well.

Liked Whites game as second ruck. He is so athletic it's like having another mid in there.

Elliott - lazy 4 goals

Faz started strong but then faded a bit.

Good to see the Seed back. One of the few classy users of the ball tonight.

I wouldn't get too excited about that ; it was a good win against a team of young triers who eventually compounded. The depth showed well for us tonight, though mixed fortunes for the "ins" - thomas excellent, seeds good in parts, Adams got a lot of it but the poor kid needs remedial help. Noce to see Cloke returning to form by running a lot more up the ground, amd great to see Fas and Elliott creating problems. Majestic performance by Beams. Next two weeks allow us to develop before we hit the Hawks.

Adams had a stinker. Looks like his confidence in his kicking is shot. Did some good things too, but jeez, you could tell he was always in two minds about dropping it on the boot :?

Seeds was classy. 18 disposals @ 95% effectiveness.

Lochie Keefe: 16 disposals @ 100%

Tom Langdon good, again. 22 disposals @ 86%

With our undermanned backline, trialing a couple of mids and a new ruck combo, I'm perfectly happy with the performance. I did not expect us to win by that much.

I thought White went well as second ruck. 15 hit outs and 16 touches. Makes it very clear that our best combo is one genuine ruck and White as backup. Could work very well if Reid ever comes back.

Nice to have Seedsman back, and the combination I've been waiting for of Seedsman and Young running through half back and wing finally eventuated. Young was very good and Seedsman also had his moments. With those two along with Herry, we have some real runners and telling disposers of the ball.

Beams was best on with a polished performance. Won the hard ball continually and finished with 8 clearances.
Well done boys!

Is his disposal that bad in the .ressies, usually ? If not, it is probably just nerves, and the best thing we could do is back the kid and give hima. Chance to feel he belongs, without tightening up every time he has it. He can get it, which is good. If his disposal is that bad in the Maggos., then we have a real problem... Jeez, it wasn't good.
