Round 11:
1. Port Adelaide
2. Sydney
3. Hawthorn
4. Fremantle
5. Geelong
6. Collingwood
7. North Melbourne
8. West Coast
9. Adelaide
10. Gold Coast
11. Essendon
12. Richmond
13. Carlton
14. Melbourne
15. Western Bulldogs
16. St. Kilda
17. GWS
18. Brisbane
Clear top 3 now (even given Hawthorn's poor last few weeks) with four teams in a tight race for fourth spot. After that, there's a big drop to 8th, where another four teams (West Coast down to Essendon) are all looking anything but compelling. You can just about forget about the rest.

Round 14 Form Ladder:
1. Port Adelaide
2. Sydney
3. Hawthorn
4. Fremantle
5. Collingwood
6. Geelong
7. North Melbourne
8. Gold Coast
9. Adelaide
10. West Coast
11. Essendon
12. Carlton
13. Melbourne
14. Richmond
15. Western Bulldogs
16. GWS
17. Brisbane
18. St. Kilda
The top four are starting to clear themselves from the pack. We move up to fifth, but only because Geelong are in such average form. I've finally seen the light on the Suns and moved them into the 8 for the first time this year, although Adelaide, West Coast and Essendon are close behind. The season is pretty much over for teams 12-18.

I feel Hawthorn should be ahead of Port Adelaide, but only just. Surprised to see us in 5th but it's warranted considering Geelong's poor form at the present time and no one else below us seems to challenge us for that spot either.
North Melbourne could be 8th but that's a matter of opinion as they can produce some good football but they do have a tendency to play really poor football as well as demonstrated by their performances against us, Essendon, Adelaide and Brisbane this year.
The Bulldogs may be just ahead of Melbourne because of the fact that the Dogs have beaten Melbourne twice this season and they did surprisingly beat us a few weeks ago which Melbourne was unable to do.

Good call on the Bulldogs, Jezza. I also feel strange putting us in 5th given our less than scintillating form; but, as you say, we're about on par with Geelong and still slightly ahead of the pack in spots 7-10. What worries me is how far we are from narrowing the gap between 4th and 5th.

They only look to be there by default, though. Since they were dismantled by the Swans, they haven't beaten any team of note. The only team they have played in the top 8 in that period was GCS. In the last 5 rounds, they will play North, Freo and the Hawks. That might tell us a little more but, on what I have seen, I would be surprised if they were any real chance for the flag.
