I was at a function on Thurdsay night in the MCC Dining Room - the Norm Smith Oration.
Plenty of good food & nice plonk, with the orators being Tim Lane, Mike Sheahan & Paul Roos.
All regaled their life stories in football. The evening ended with Stephen Smith (Dees committeeman) thanking all speakers. He then butterred up to Roos, by saying how Melbourne have their edge back, are much improved and all can see the game plan and effort of the players. The crowd dutifully applauds. Smith then says the Dees are ready to serve it up to Collingwood on Monday. The crowd now roars.
The bloke next to me was a Swans fan. He was laughing. "they've won 3 games and they carry on like this?"
I told him I hope we kick their arse by ten goals. We had a nice chuckle.
Bottom line however is that Melbourne are blethering on and drumming up their chances against us. Expect a big crowd.

Plenty of talking by the Dees leading up to the game. Reminds me a bit of the Richmind lead up early last year talking about taking a big scalp in front of 80,000 and we all know what we did to them. Let's put these pretenders back into their box.
Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy.

No great surprises, would've liked to have seen Adams get another opportunity although he may play yet after being held back yesterday. Very happy to see Dwyer back in, classy player who shouldn't have been dropped imo. Was very unlucky but I guess we're going to see a bit more of that as the year progresses.
Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood.

Now lads ... that's more than enough DTM-baiting for the day, thanking you very much.neil wrote:Maybe Grundy's back is shot best try and trade him while he still has valueAN_Inkling wrote:Can't make the AFL or VFL team. Maybe they're about to be delisted?
DTM ... do not allow yourself to take the bait from these promiscuous anglers - the sight of you being frequently tossed up on to the bank is just too much ... should be a law against it ...
