Would have thought the Doggies game was the one to try Huddo against Minson. Ceglar and Hale I think a better match up for Witts and Grundy.RudeBoy wrote:It's out of left field I know, but I wonder if Bucks might consider resting both Grundy and Witts this week and playing Hudson as our ruckman, with support from White? I don't expect it, but the more i think about it the more it makes sense. Our young rucks are looking weary and it would be good to see if Hudson can still cut the mustard should he be called upon in September. A bigger ruck load for White is what he needs.

Then again perhaps Hudson could exploit Ceglar and be a real advantage for us.jackcass wrote:Would have thought the Doggies game was the one to try Huddo against Minson. Need to maintain the strategic course. Keep getting games into our kids.
We need to remember that we will get peaks and troughs with kids. No point in playing Huddo unless one of our young rucks is injured.
Similarly with other kids. I'd rather play them than not. While I'd love to have a crack this year, (and we can) it must be more about the next two years. We need preparation for this as our mission in 2014
Also everyone is discussing the Hawks injury list. Our list is just as bad.

That's all well and good to say but given our injuries and the VFL list I am interested to see your recommendationsRudeBoy wrote:We can win it but only if we rectify 3 things.
1. We can't have any passengers again - such as Blair, White, Ball and Young.
2. We can't play 3 rucks, given that neither are dominating. One of Witts or Grundy must be rested. White has to play more in the ruck.
3. We have to find out what's up with the player once known as Dane Swan and get him firing again. he's either injured, is simply slowing down, or doesn't care much, or all 3. bottom line is we need him close to his best if we are to be a top 4 side.
So with Goldsack, Maxwell and Fasolo all ruled out I think I'd go with these changes now.
Out:Blair
In:Kennedy
Out:Witts
In:Hudson
Out:Thomas
In:Beams
If we were to drop one of the young ruckman for Hudson then Grundy might be the one most likely given he was substituted last game but I still think he's got more runs on the board than Witts and teamed up with Hudson it should only serve to bring out his natural aggression which has been missing of late.
