You don't think world soccer is corrupt,Jack?Haven't you heard of what Fifa gets up to?collie dog wrote:And you sir are suffering from verbal diarrhea on this thread. Forget the nonsense about Jack Spain. I'll see you at the soccer, because with Timmy Cahill coming to the A-League next season and continued immigration that sport will be clearly number one within ten years. Hard to lose, but we must keep things in perspective. Lost Langdon early, Blair and Lumuba woefully out of sorts and a super inexperienced ruckman up against the mongaloid looking Hale. Swany looks like getting the football is the least of his problems, there is obviously something wrong with his body. We have a plethora of players to come back and the Cloke machine is starting to gain momentum. White lifts, Reid and Maxy back, and this bunch of youngsters could win it from outside the 4. I'm keeping the faith in light of a bad result today.

And it's where it should be... it's a joke to watch now.

What
We are starting to look like the obese bridesmaid who never catches the bouquet !
Pathetic gutless effort! They shamed the colours today!
Can anyone explain why little Elliott keeps passing to the opposition so much?

I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

technically speaking - we have!buzzlightyear wrote:A disappointing result. I didn't expect to win but we should have done better.
We've conceded 20, 21, 20, 18 & 17 goals against Hawthorn in the last 5 games. It's a similar result to last years R21 result when we lost 119 to 84. This year 115-86.
We haven't closed the gap...yet...we can go with them for parts of the game but not all.

I just walked outside and the sky is still in the same place as it was before the game.
Go Pies.
Bring Back Tranquilli
Despite getting plenty of possessions between them Pendlebury, Beams and Swan failed to make an important scoreboard impact on the game.
Blair was far from our worst but you won't get much better out of him most weeks either.
Has a crack which is admirable but doesn't hurt the opposition enough with his dispoals and isn't a game changer.
As expected Broomhead found the going tough in just his second game against a quality opponent. He'll be a player but didn't do enough today to hold his spot.
Thomas was average and will be dropped with players hopefully returning from injury.
Ball and Dwyer were ok but not damaging.
We had a dip but poor disposal hurt us in the first half especially, Seedsman and O'Brien weren't able to provide enough rebound from defence and once again a lack of forward options outside of Cloke and Elliott was evident.

You might keep on mentioning it & it is your opinion. However, Witts did not beat Ceglar. Ceglar was intrumental in their win against us today when it mattered, Witts only made a significant contribution when it was well over- however doing what he did was also good. I'm a Witts fan & he will get better. Buckley didn't grab him by his jumper because he was winning today. However he responded to Buckley's spray (& anger / intimidation). As an aside I don't think that's clever by Bucks to publicly shame somebody like that - this is not the '70's.AN_Inkling wrote:Sorry, mentioning that the Hawks are undermanned because they have 2 or 3 out, is very unfair on us. We were never a chance today, but put in a real effort. If we'd played this well last week, we'd have smashed the Dogs. That games was disappointing, this one was meritorious. And Ceglar was beaten by Witts all day, not just at the end. 15 hit outs and 13 disposals for Ceglar is pretty ordinary really.
Their huge wins over us in the past have occurred with us winning clearances. They outplay us after that & they rightly believe & have believed Swan is not a danger in terms of clearances because of his poor DE (that's when Swan was playing well).
Other than that I agree. We are too young & inexperienced currently in the backline especially & it's now showing.

No worries Col. You can go and watch your, what is it 6th, 7th, maybe 8th rate? competition. And that's being generous. I'll stick with footy with some A-league on the side. We've seen some improvement in local soccer, but it's nothing compared to at the very, very least half a dozen other overseas comps. If Cahill does come to Australia next year it will only be because the money has dried up overseas. He was playing in the American league this season for Christ's sake. Talk about irrelevant. At least with AFL we know we're watching the best Aussie Rules comp in the world .collie dog wrote:And you sir are suffering from verbal diarrhea on this thread. Forget the nonsense about Jack Spain. And yeah, the AFL is corrupt. I'm a gonna go and watch some corrupt free Soccer now , and maybe after that some WWE for real, competitive sport and Le Tour for some clean, drug free action. Hilarious.
Well done boys!
