GOOD CALL .... I'm sick of imbeciles calling for player sacking after a bad game, these clowns don't call for the dropping of a player they actually advocate their sacking.Pete 70 wrote:Ba ba ba ba ba baba

It's time to put the lights up ....
Seriously, seriously.
The sh.t on this forum.
The average age of our defence is 12 years old. And then we lose one of the 12 year olds.
Sack Jesse White, sack Blair, sack Harry - f... Off Richmond supporters.
We are genuinely building something.
Those of you currently performing in the muppet show - when filming finishes, make a call - either support this club or call 1300whinnytigersneedsyounow.
In the last few weeks I've heard calls for the sacking/retiring/delisting/trading of Swan, Toovey, Ball, Witts, Grundy, Thomas, Blair, Brown, Maxwell, White, Lumumba and I'm sure a few others, not to mention last weeks tirades against Adams.
A few weeks ago some were saying that Sidebottom should be sacked or traded, those same clowns are now saying that we lost to the Hawks, in part, due to his non availability.
I've read that we should trade Reid, as he is always injured.
That Broomhead isn't ready for seniors, after 1 game.
That Hine blew it getting Scharenberg and Freeman, as they are injured.
That we should have recruited a ruckman, but just who, when and how was not stated.
Give us a break go and follow some other club.... please

As to our non recruiting of indigenous players, can I please have an example of us overlooking a player in favour of a white kid, maybe with Rioli & Hill it was Hawthorns pick before ours. Anyway didn't we give krak a chance when others wouldn't ?
I guess we should pick a player based on colour not on the best available at the time. We should have had the kid that Hawks picked instead of Scharenberg or Freeman You know the one that went back to WA.

I can't fault the side's effort yesterday. I thought we played a lot better than we did against the Bulldogs last week but the one thing that stood out to me as opposed to Hawthorn was our poor skill level and the way the Hawks players were able to read the play better than we did in dangerous attacking spots.
Cloke was our best player and did an admirable job with five goals. I've been impressed with his performances in the past month after a slow start to the year so good to see him up and about now. Hopefully he can maintain this form now heading into the rest of the season. Swan, Pendlebury and Beams obtained the ball plenty of times but didn't have much impact with it unfortunately. I was impressed by Adams today after the barrage of criticism he received last week on Nicks.
I thought up until late in the third quarter we were right in the game and looking quite good but three goals in the last three minutes of the third quarter from Hawthorn absolutely killed off the game and the last quarter was just going through the motions and hoping the margin wouldn't blow out in the end.
Overall, the continual letdown against Hawthorn is our inability to man up on them as we prefer zoning off them to cover more space instead. Too often, Hawthorn was able to get the ball from the defensive 50 to the forward 50 with ease and that showed a lack of discipline amongst the Collingwood side.
I think if we produce what we did in this match against Carlton next week then I'd be confident of a victory. Hawthorn's a bloody good side so there was no shame of losing this one but I must admit I'm getting sick of it now.
Anyway move on and now focus on next week.

It was hard listening to that game yesterday, we just don't have it against those brown and gold nappy fillers. We definitely had a go , but as many have said our defence is still very young and doesn't have the ability to go with the better forward lines. Still I can't knock our endeavour, well done to Maccaffer chasing hill around that would not be fun. Nice to see Clokey having a crack. I feel for Pendles the man never stops trying.
The result was about what I expected, but that doesn't lessen the disappointment.
I reckon we have a genuine star in Adams. For the second week in a row he's been amongst our best 2 or 3 players. The kid is an absolute gem. I hope a lot of those who let loose with such vitriolic attacks on him last week are eating their words now. He's not just a great player, but he's a future leader.
Sadly, as each week goes by I'm convinced more and more that Ball is on borrowed time. He's simply too slow and a poor kick to have much of an impact. I would only play him if the ground was wet.
As for Thomas, I've always considered him a depth player, and after 4 years on our list - despite being riddled with injuries for 3 of those years - he is still far too inconsistent. There is too great a gap between his best and worst.
Blair can be a terror, but unfortunately he does not give enough often enough. I was disappointed in Broomhead, who for 2 weeks in a row has failed to impact the game much at all. He'll obviously need to return to the VFL for a few weeks.
It was disappointing to see Langdon concussed, but honestly he was looking to me like a player who needed a week's rest before he knocked his head. It was one of the poorer games I've seen from Lumumba, so I expect he'll bounce back next week.
It's hard to know what to make of the result. Clearly throw Maxwell, Goldsack, Sidebottom, Reid, not to mention Sharenberg and Freeman into that side and we could possibly spank the Hawks. But will we ever have such a side?
There is no reason why we shouldn't give the blues a toweling this week. All is not lost folks. We can still make the top 4 if we start getting our players back from injury and string together a few weeks of top football.

The Hawks seem to do it effortlessly. Feels like we really have to work much harder than them to stay competitive. On the bright side, we were willing to do that for the majority of the game. With a little more luck from the umps we were in with a decent chance to cause an upset.
We better win next week.

Hawks had just as many out, I don't believe we are top 4 yet but confident we are heading in the right direction.RudeBoy wrote: It's hard to know what to make of the result. Pies had Fasolo, Maxwell, Sidebottom, Goldsack, Brown, Reid, Sinclair, Lynch, Karnezis, Scharenberg, Freeman, Oxley, Hudson, Gault, and Ramsay.
Maybe not quite even.

Maxwell, Sidebottom, Goldsack, Brown, Reid and Sinclair are the only ones that would come in if fit and firing. Of those who would get a gig in the Hawks team and I would suggest Sidebottom and Reid only.jackcass wrote:Hawks had Mitchell, Hartung, Gibson, Whitecross and Anderson unavailable for senior selection.themonk wrote:Hawks had just as many out, I don't believe we are top 4 yet but confident we are heading in the right direction.RudeBoy wrote: It's hard to know what to make of the result. Really? sure there's no room for Clarke, Mooney & Yagmoor?

The biggest outs for Hawthorn on Saturday were Mitchell and Gibson. Those two have caused big problems for us in the past but apart from that they had a relatively strong side in despite Lake and Gunston being underdone somewhat as they were just returning from injury.themonk wrote:Hawks had just as many out, I don't believe we are top 4 yet but confident we are heading in the right direction.RudeBoy wrote: It's hard to know what to make of the result. I think we were missing more across the park in terms of the players that would be automatic inclusions into the senior side such as Sidebottom, Goldsack and Reid. Despite that, excuses cannot be made as you can only play who's available at the present time. Sometimes it'll go in our favour and other times it won't.

Chances are that if both Freeman and Scharenberg were injury free and had had a full preseason I am confident that would have played their first AFL game by now. Sinclaire and Karnezis may also have been in the mix.themonk wrote:Sinclair, Lynch, Karnezis, Scharenberg, Freeman, Oxley, Hudson, Gault, and Ramsay.jackcass wrote:Hawks had Mitchell, Hartung, Gibson, Whitecross and Anderson unavailable for senior selection.themonk wrote: Hawks had just as many out, I don't believe we are top 4 yet but confident we are heading in the right direction.

I think you could old fully discount Clarke, Mooney and Yagmoor.
