Losing to the doggies did us no favours, that's for sure, but ya never know, doggies and others may cause upsets, and help us for once.

Yes, that is the one that is going to cost us, I think. With all of our injuries, the last thing we needed was Sidey getting suspended - that was the game his suspension really hurt us.

It will be interesting to see how Bucks structures our forward line this week, in the absence of Elliott. With Langdon and Williams likely return, that should allow Goldsack to resume his spot on the forward line. Grundy might also get a recall as a forward/ruck option. Given the unavailability of Karnezis and Fasolo at present, I guess if Martin doesn't get promoted this week, he never will. One thing's for certain, Kennedy will keep his spot after a terrific game on Sunday. I would expect Kennedy, Ball (if he plays), Beams, Swanny and Sidey to rotate a lot through the forward half.

Langdon and Lumumba will probably play more as wingers/high forwards.

Out of left field I know, but I wonder how Langdon would go as a mid sized marking forward? Just a thought, as he seems to be a very cool customer with enormous talent, including a great capacity to read the play.

Nearly every good team has at least one of these losses.

PA - Roos
Swans - Giants
Cats - Suns
Freo - Roos
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

Losing to the Kangaroos or Suns is hardly in the same league as losing to the dogs.

Up until that point Footscray were considered one of the most disappointing performing sides of the year and one of the worst.

It was a shocking performance and our worst for the year.

^I'd distinguish between GC Suns at home to losing to the Bulldogs.
Roos have beaten Port, Freo and Swans from memory. Also a rung up from the Dogs.
One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership

Nah we won't lose this, the boys will want to make amends for last year's debacle. Pendles even said this in the post-game interview.

Out Blair, Elliott

In Martin, Williams

No room for Langdon?

Looks like Elliott will miss a week and I'd be thinking either Martin or Langdon as the replacement for him. Martin can obviously kick goals but Langdon offers a bit more height and pace. He brings a bit more flexibility than Martin as well. Interesting to see which way the selectors go.

There is now that you mention him. Personally I'd be dropping H for him but it will most likely be JT, even though he hasn't been as poor as it's painted out to be.

Good evening mr Didick.

Outstanding news if true.

Other teams will quake in fear as the phoenix rises from the ashes..

Floreat pica, a VFL flag at the very least.
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

I'm tipping the maggots to give Ablett a big haul of nonsense frees against The Caff, with the most telling ones being when the contest might be at its tightest....

Good tidings to you, Mr Warburton Lad. Yes, let's hope Mr Eade has it right. I am also hoping that our spring footed young Mr Elliot makes a speedy recovery. I am waiting for him to take Mark of the Year. On Eade, it's amazing what putting a Collingwood polo does for your image. He really has become a much nicer fellow than he was at either the Swans or the Dogs. He's doing a marvellous job.
Onward and upward.
