Decent ins but nothing really exciting. Unfortunately, we're losing almost as much quality as we're gaining (no Elliott is a blow). I'm optimistic about our chances, though. Pies by 25.

v interesting game to see where we're at. dont think we're quite good enough to beat them at their place, but it'll be impressive if we do.

I like J Marsh being in the emergencies... though that'll prob change once Reid is back. Would also be keen to see Broomhead in for Blair. He'd match up better on the quick, younger GC better methinks.

Goal kicking options look skinny.

Cloke + our mids is it.

Ball kicked a couple last week. Out
Elliott our leading scorer. Out
Have doubts that Grundy or Witts can get in scoring chains better than White. Not that that's hard to do either!

Williams and Langers add better defense. Hopefully those that roll further up the ground have more impact on the scoreboard.

You'd think Sack would need to play back given their 3x tall forwards. Any chance of rain?

Wonder which emergencies are on the plane to QLD?

Don't worry mate, Balir will step up and kick a bag while someone like Martin who is our leading goalkicker in VFL wouldn't be able to do that.

White is on notice, improve or enjoy the VFL. Grundy gets a chance to redeem himself.

Maybe Kennedy will be played primarily forward and he has the potential to be a scoring and creative option in attack. After last weeks showing I'm really looking forward to him being given a full game as his form is really exciting at the moment.

Pretty solid side on paper, not full strength but we've fielded worse in the last month. White needed a rest and we know Grundy will at least provide a physical presence which is something Jesse sadly hasn't of late.

forward line not much to write home about

1 forward, 2 defensive forwards, 1 ruckman, 2 rovers (anyone say that any more?).

wonder if Jon Marsh named for that reason?

Marsh has been playing back in the VFL and been playing really well, so if he did come in late it would be as a defender, no way he plays forward in the AFL yet.

But that forward line is a massive worry, had to drop White, just had to, he has been poor for a month.

It's going to be Cloke, the 2nd ruck and a bunch of midgets and mids up forward, it may actually work ok as the ball gets really slippery when it get dark up there, so it may play into our hands.

I'm not confident though, hoping for a win but expecting a loss.

Form, personnel and a 6 day break. 3 compelling reasons why I can't see us getting up this week. We'll need a massive effort and a fair bit of luck.
