OH NO DAN! If we finish 4th ... We play Essendon in the first final! Too much for my stress levels!

Last year we surprised a lot of teams in the first few weeks and had a purple patch before they worked us out. This year its no purple patch, it's consistent pressure football in front of big crowds. We are actually improving as the season is going on...so when we meet those teams that beat us, a second time...they'll find we are tougher still. I think the climb is on. We have a lot of great players ready to step into the side very soon, so I really can't see our second half being worse than our first half. I predict we will hit 4th and I don't care about Essendon...methinks every game we play from now on, we should pretend those other teams ARE Essendon and squeeze them with tough pressure football till they pop!

also, don't forget that the 4th placed team has a double chance, and teams in the top 4 have a 75% chance of winning the premiership. they only need to get there....

I will now update my own predictions as they were pretty rough guess at the time and reasons in brackets
1. essendon (they are in their absolute prime )
2.hawthorn (similar to essendon but not to the same effect)
3.carlton ( last top four for a while need to clean out 2002)
4.COLLINGWOOD ( any thing can happen can't see why not considering the speed of their development)
5.port (they will be found out by other teams as season progress)
6.brisbane ( regain their composure and will most home games)
7.richmond ( they have to make the finals better, now or never)
8.west bulldogs ( squeeze in but will be their last for a while)
9.adeladie ( unlucky but again in need of a clean out rebuild)
10.sydney ( ageing side and in need of a clean out and replenish)
11.kangaroos (definate need for a clean out and rebuild)
12.geelong ( will need to rebuild sad no flag in the 90's)
13.melbourne ( rebuild on and off field enough said)
14.st.kilda ( quick fixes don't work in this day and age)
15.west coast (approaching their worst period of history)
16.freo ( simlar to west coast but youth is on their side)
