It's nice to win again!
Nothing wrong with the spirit by the look of things.
If we can sneak into the eight and win one final I'll be a happy man. That would be a pass mark for the year and place us well for next season.
Week by week Adams makes me feel less disappointed about the Heater trade.

That and Reid wouldn't be 100% fit yet, better to not push him to much ATM.Collingwood Crackerjack wrote:Thought the decision to sub out Reid was the wrong call, but I guess it would off been too much to ruck Witts the entire last quarter.
Bloody good win though; I enjoyed that immensely

Despite Mr Smythe's irresolute reading of the Sidebottom's performance today, Sidey still wants to give him one ... assume the position eddiesmith and await his pleasure ...

Grinding win, still have concerns about our short kicking out of the back lines during a slow passage of play some of those turnovers could have been worse. Not convinced we can turn into a precision kicking team like to see take a page out of micks book kick down the boundary force a stoppage or ball up

Many positives... Intensity was good - always a chance of we apply pressure!
Beams, H, Sidey, Pendles, Cloke, Dwyer good games for the oldies
Adams, Keefe, Frost, Armstrong, Marley, Broomhead and Langdon good for young guns
Faz, Elliot an Blair good game for midgets
On the negative side - White was quiet again - Martin came on in the last qtr and did nothing. Just could not get in the game - not a natural sub. Reid was poor but hopefully better for another run. Witts was average - good in the ruck but struggled around the ground.
Oh yeah another positive...no injuries
Well done Pies still in the hunt and that was a big game for both clubs - tough task next week but at least we have the right attitude and can now build some momentum.

Broomhead is going to be a star, I now see why Armstrong was recruited if they can keep playing him as a loose man he could be very damaging. We don't have to many that actually hit targets.
Frost and Keefe were fantastic, think Keefe is very harshly judged. Beams is a gun, Sidy another harshly judged was very good. Blair's attack and disposal by hand was very good.
Taylor was also very good, I might eat humble pie there. Still turns it over but much better, his hands were excellent.
Fasolo and Dywer important ins for run and carry. Thought they were pretty good too, Goldy also very good.
Negatives we turn it over to much and sides still find to much space on their own. Hate our game plan when kicking out from the back-line.

Was up forward and the ball was not in that area often in the quarter he was on. I think this week was a holding pattern for Marto. Hope he gets another and better chance next week or against the Brions or Giants.Collingwood Crackerjack wrote:Yeah, only saw him near the ball once during the early part of the 4th quarter; tough gig to start as the sub, but he should have got a touchDefender wrote:Martin with duck eggs.
