Its funny how superstitious we become when in 'SEPTEMBER' ,this week when we do battle with the brisbane bears once again, the cheersquad will be seated in H5 section forward pocket northern stand its a good sign because the last 2 occasions at the 'G' grand final and this years home away game against brisbane we have been punt road end behind goals it now gives myself further belief my 72 point drubbing prediction will come true.
In closing it's all good !!!!

As long as I walk outside my front door on the way to the game and i see a magpie, we'll win. everytime we have won, I have seen / heard the callings of a magpie. In Sydney, on the ferry to homebush, we pulled into Abbottsford and the magpies were singing. Everyone laughed at me when i told them its an omen.
Only once has this not worked and it was when i was walking to the station on game day and I seen a dead magpie on the road, we lost that day. I knew we were in strife when i seen the dead magpie, whenever i havent seen / heard a pie on game day we have lost. in closing, I am not going to the game until i find me a magpie.

I'll make sure to flick the light switch on/off 24 times before the first siren sounds. We seem to win when I do that.

My omen is to wear the same uniform to the footy every week and to listen to the magpie army cd all the way thru on full volume before i leave for the game!

well i have only been to 3 games this year due to work commitments but of those 3 games we have flogged teams and i am going on saturday

so i hope they keep the form when i have been there :D

I have been breeding magpies in my backyard this year....we live up the hills and boy have they come from far and abroad! starting with one or two....we are now surrounded by them...I love the way they scare off all the other birds with such a fierce attack, yet so graceful.....

i totally i agree with the omen
my little superstitious thing that i've got at the moment is that the last time i shaved my beard completely wwas the brisbane game, since then my beard has grown back, now i just got the goatee, but it's been the same goatee since we beat adelaide so i ain't shaving it off

at the game we have noticed that everytime my dad goes to the toilet we kick a goal, when i go, the other team kicks one.
So now i make sure i dont go during the game, only during the breaks.
