This forum is pathetic
Dead set, aren't Collingwood fans known for their support even when times are tough? In 99 we had a far worse team but were at least packing the G every week.
Supporters of today as weak as p155. Supporting the club through change and tough times makes the good times that much sweeter. To the "perceptive fellow" I say get stuffed.
For the record the pies will have a famous victory tonight.

Blame TV!
Why should people go & brave the shitty Winter cold when they can sit & watch it on TV in comfort with the heater on?
We may have had a worse side in '99 but games weren't live on TV back then. If they were, you can bet the crowds would've been down as they are now.

That's society now. Discussion and debate takes a back seat to either moaning about some perceived injustice or going straight for insulting, shaming and belittling someone.
I've lessened my posting on forums more and more over the years with just Nick's left now, and the way this place is headed I may just hang up the Keyboard and coffee and go back to writing letters to the newspaper when I feel I have something important to say.

Well, that's the way I've supported the Pies for 47 years. Ride the lows with our boys, as well as rejoice in the highs. I find it really hard to understand why some would want to constantly bag the sh** out of the players, coaches and administration, yet still call themselves "supporters", but that's just my take on it.Carro wrote:Dead set, aren't Collingwood fans known for their support even when times are tough?

I'm one of the silent majority who chooses to keep quiet for most of the season and not read the posts after a loss.
And I'm not a "perceptive fellow" or a traitor just because I don't reckon we'll win tonight - I'm just a realist basing my opinion on exposed form.

Doesn't matter what it is, Australia has become a nation of self obsessed whingers.
