Looking forward to seeing what this kid can do with a full pre season and a bit of maturity. Very much a fan.
what is really interesting about this review is that it suggests that it was injury and not form that derailed him. I think sometimes when you are on the outside, you can be ignorant of certain things (like needing a screw taken out of your foot) and jump to conclusions such as inconsistent or, even better, fueding with Nathan Buckley or punching on with Tim Broomhead.
Totally agree. A lot of vitriol and negativity on these boards based on nothing but guess work.

Me too, make a good son in law, if he's not too short
181cm, so he's 5'11". Provided the daughter stays with the 4" heels, all good.

Cool, that could work!

Love Faz, and anyone who thinks hea a show pony, or one trick pony, wasn't watching this year. His work ethic and determination to learn a new role, his unselfish passing in the 50, time out for this kid made him see what he'd be missing if he didn't give it all he's got. And yes he oozes talent. He will be fantastic next year, with a good preseason and some confidence.

I'll make the call and compare him to Didak.

Did's got by for a fair while on potential, when 2 way footy wasn't as important
Then he had a couple of really good seasons followed by injuries and age.
Then he got by on reputation, only showing the ability in patches.

None of that is intended as a criticism of a player I liked.

Fasolo for mine has at least equal ability to Dids and is showing more at a young age in being able to learn and play 2 way.

The kid is a keeper. This goal says so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fMsm8LYFM8

I'm one who has him in the show pony class, but I have to agree that he showed a lot of guts this yr when he had the opportunity sadly not as much as he would of liked , his intensity improved as did his tackling and with a full pre season Who knows?, then again after this yr do we really want a FULL pre season?

...and then you read posts like this. You don't remember what he produced vs North melbourne in defence this year or his first half vs St Kilda up forward before injuries derailed his season again?
Agreed and remember the lad is only 22, a footy injury to a bloke who can really kick like a mule definitely held him back all year.

Lower foot injuries are very hard to come back from. Take Daisy as a prime example. Fitness is the key here. Faz has had an up and down preseason, came good, went backwards again and struggled to keep up.

It is not because of skill, he has plenty, it is fitness.

Full preseason, up his fitness and watch out 2015.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Was a nice pass to from a bloke who can't kick.

I'm a fan. Injury free and fit, I reckon he will be a real weapon for us. Question is will he get that good run with his body to allow him to get the fitness necessary.

I was basing my comments on observations across his whole career not just last season. No doubt he has the skills but rarely are they on display for a full game and too often in the past he's gone out of games when the pressure goes on. Only once or twice across his whole career has he turned games. His vision of team mates around goal is often lacking as he'd rather go for glory than pass off and do the team thing. If he can be turned into a useful backman then well and good, it would benefit the team and him, but I remain skeptical of his overall worth to the team.

this video made me sad. Seeing a centre square configuartion consisiting of a fit Thomas, Pendles and a young enough Ball nearly brought a tear to my eye. So sad that this era is over.

Mind you, Marty Clark also gets a stat in the piece .....

Sinclair is going to be great for us. so many bloody injuries. These promising young kids just dropped off the face of the earth.
