A new dawn for Nicks - from the grapevine I heard David has indicated his first major decision will be to allow topics to grow and die organically and not be judged and moved on from General Discussion like some unwanted asylum seeker looking to land on our sunny sovereign shores!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind sentiments. I'll do my best to help keep this community an open, civil and respectful place for all posters. Part of that job does entail enforcing the rules, so please try to abide by them.

I'm sure you'll all have cause to hate me before too long (;)), but keep in mind that we (Donny, London Dave, WhyPhilWhy? and me) are all doing our best to keep Nick's a functional and harmonious place. The other three in particular have devoted many years (all as volunteers) to the largely unrecognised and unrewarded job of keeping this board alive. I respect their work greatly. They've done it out of love for the Collingwood Football Club and love for this bulletin board. While we are always open to constructive criticism (via the General Feedback forum), please try to remember this when you feel frustrated by the decisions of a moderator or moderation team.

Hopefully, we will all get the opportunity to serve this board's membership for many years to come.
