They will still get a compensation pick for Frawley. The Seedsmeister wrote:Melbourne not getting a priority pick make no difference to us getting Mitch Clark, but it helps us get Darcy for a second rounder.

May well be a second round draftpick (as it should be on merit) but they are likely to lean to a first round given they said no to Melb's original requestMJ23 wrote:They will still get a compensation pick for Frawley. The Seedsmeister wrote:Melbourne not getting a priority pick make no difference to us getting Mitch Clark, but it helps us get Darcy for a second rounder.

Yep that's my logic currently. Other clubs are in finals etc so why come to the Pies when we have headed south this year?AN_Inkling wrote:Could be that losing Beams also hurts our chance of signing Clark. If we don't get a ready made replacement then we're a fair way off competing and that lessens our attraction to potential recruits.

Losing Beams will have an impact no doubt but not that big. We got through most of 2013 without him. I'm still tipping us to make finals next year with or without Beams.watt price tully wrote:Yep that's my logic currently.
