Bottom line, we're back in the top 4 by the end of 2015.
If we don't have a decent coach we'll get nothing from kids like Grundy, Freeman, Kennedy and the rest, Bomber is a proven leader of men, he has the pitiful dregs of Essendon ready to die for him, and dragged their sorry arses into finals. there's no point talking about Matthews, as much as I love him NO coach has ever succeeded at coaching three lists to a flag. Choco is also very good but he doesn't have the name recognition we need.
Get this STRAIGHT! We don't need a rebuild, utter bullshit! We need someone who can lift the morale of our list, that list was good enough to beat 5 of the final 8 THIS year. With a competent coach we could dominate the competition!
Don't you see it? Really? Come ON!!!!! THINK for chrissakes!!!

Re: Michael
Oh I see, well im a part time artist myself, mainly oil paintings, which have been shown at some Art exibitions yet I don't come on here and try to be negative and arrogant, I try not too, and I do try not to go on and on over the same old ground.perthmagpie wrote:If you go to Michael's gallery website you will see he is a brilliant artist. You may also notice he writes with the same arrogant and exaggerated tone as he does here. I would hazard to guess this is just a reflection of who he really is. He is not a troll but writes stuff that gives us all a constant headache. The language is all loud and contrived and unbearable. It's a shame really that Peter McKenna is in his avatar as Macca was one one of heroes and is such a gentle sole and the avatar is incongruent with the writings of a person who screams 'look at me'.Piesnchess wrote:35forever wrote:Give this idiotic shite up! Again with the personal stuff, but you few holdouts won't last much longer, the tide is turning as the evidence continues to pile up that Buckley's reign has been nought but an unmitigated disaster. I don't want any attention on myself, my work brings more of that than I care for, I want peoples eyes fixed firmly on our club and the nightmares unfolding there, it's you in the Blind Brigade who continuously want to change the subject to me and my perceived shortcomings.
@John Wren, as I've said many times, our LIST is good enough to beat anyone...regardless of who is coaching.
Well at least it was, it's now questionable whether enough remains in that list to make us competitive with even the middle tier. Certainly the loss of Beams just about tips us over the edge, if we lost a Sidebottom or Swan or Pendles succumbed to injury we would be just about assured wooden-spooners for 2015. No high draft pick will prevent that, neither will an imported Dangerfield or Swallow as most imports take a while to find their feet at a new club. Besides, whose going to want to enter the Westpac centre when the vast volume of traffic is going the other way?
Mate if what you NEED is for me to stop, I'm afraid you're SOL, coz it ain't going to happen! But then, you don't read my posts so why would they upset you so much? How about some honesty? What you REALLY want is for me to stop pointing out the truth of the situation because other people ARE reading it and minds are being changed, you don't like that, do you? I've been accused of being Dale Thomas and other members of Nicks in disguise, maybe you're Nathan Buckley?? (I'm kidding of course... or am I?)
You call what I write uninformed and ignorant, (how do you manage to know that and even quote things from text you didn't read???) but you don't point out any factual errors because there aren't any. All you managed was to ask who coached our victories, how simple then to ask you who coached our season-defining loss to FOOTSCRAY? Who coached us when we were flogged by the insipid Essendon? And which master coach was it who oversaw our season-ending pummelling at the hands of Brisbane? Any fool can coach a side of confident professionals, you yourself could have sat in the big chair without doing much harm, it's when things are going badly, when heads are down and confidence is shot to hell that a real leader is needed, and we had those leaders in Malthouse and Maxy. I'll also ask you why Maxy and Screw left the club? Maxy was in career best form and certainly could have overcome the injury he sustained, but he elected to retire immediately, the same day as our unbelievable loss to Footscray, which saw us tumble out of the top 4 never to return. We won just 3 more games for the rest of the season. Just another in the incredible line of co-incidences?
And Ball? He was told by Nathan Buckley that there would be few opportunities for him in 2015. He said he could have played on despite requiring back surgery, and wanted to ,but obviously not at Collingwood. How dearly we will miss the experience of those guys and the run of Hertier and Beams in 2015. For that matter we could have used the experience of Jolley, Didak, Shaw, Thomas, Krakouer, Wellingham and Dawes as we were fumbling to make up a fit side near the end of the season. By round 24 we weren't even competitive, having to play kids we had no intention of using this year, and others who just weren't prepared for the Ones having had almost no opportunities earlier in the season.
Just do me a tiny favour and input the scenario of Bomber Thompson taking over as coach in 2015 into the hamster-on -a-spinning-wheel you have upstairs and tell me how you see that scenario unfolding. And no smart-arse stuff about drugs, you know very well none of that stuck to Bomber, if you know anything about the guy, and I do, you know that kind of thing is utterly foreign to his approach as player and coach. So what would happen? Even short term in 2015? Would Beams stay? Would Swan, Blair, Grundy and Clokey return to the form they showed in 2013?
I guess if you want to believe every word that emanates from Collingwood you'd see nothing positive happening, coz as far as they're concerned the future is all sunshine and puppy dogs, but frankly I had a higher opinion of you than that. I don't believe you are one of those 'bible-literalists' who read every word as pure gospel, but let's see.
The challenge is laid down, pick it up or stop obsessing about me. I think you know you can't shut me up.

I knew you'd come with exactly that reply, this whole list is the same a straw pole... i.e nothing we say on here will change anything because it means nothing except to the people on the list.
