current holes in our list:

Post by inxs88 »

backs: an accurate player whom can kick in from a pint and thus avoid us the heart palpitations of watching L Keefe stuff it up in 2015.

solution: Aaron Mullet maybe via the Heritier Lumumba pick allocated

mids:

a. an in/under hardball getter to replace Luke Ball

solution: Levi Greenwood

b. an elite goal kicking, 700+ possession a goal kicker to replace Beams

solution: P Dangerfield

Forwards:

a. a small, fast 45 year + goal kicking indigenous player that gives a spark

solution: Jeff Garlett : maybe gettable with a fourth rounder

b. a 6ft 3 agile, but potent goal kicker in the J Gunston mould.

solution: the draft

Rucks:

need a 4th ruck to replace B Hudson whom can give a chop out to a more than likely fatigued or injured at some stage J Witts and B Grundy.

solution: Rookie list a solid 24-26 year old State league ruckmen

Conclusion:

If we can fill 80% of these deficiencies then we stand a chance for finals when combined with natural progression and a more than fair run with injuries. Cheers

Don't want to derail the thread because it's a good one and has merit thanks inxs88, But I Got a good laugh from that one.

I think if we could fill 50% of that wish list we'd have done well. But alas I fear 2015 will be a non finals year.

" a small , fast 45 year player " -- we should draft him in his 20's as he'd surely be faster when younger .

Sorry - couldn't help myself .

But seriously , I don't rate Garlett at all . But the rest makes perfect sense .
