Barrett said he has heard from his sources - his dad is 20% of the reason, the main reason is he just wants out of Collingwood.

If this is true, or close to true - its a very possible scenario.

Straight swap would be awesome - hell id even throw in Sinclair and our 3rd round pick to make it irresistible on paper.

Sinclair and our 3rd rounder?

Beams for Treloar is already fair, if they want more we can deal with Brisbane or the Gold Coast. We'd be trading them a ready made superstar for someone with the potential to be a superstar.

Current ability outweighs potential every day of the week. If they want a sweetener then I'd (if it were up to me  ) MAYBE throw in a third rounder but there's no way we should give up a player as well as Beams.

Do you think he's better than Beams?

Because I sure don't, and at this point in time what that means is he only has the POTENTIAL to be better than Beams. I've rated Treloar ever since he was drafted and would love to see him at the Pies but I'm not paying overs for him when we're offering them one of the best midfielders in the comp in rerturn.

I'd do this:

Pick 5 + Patfull to GWS

Treloar to COLL + Pick 25 to Coll (from GWS)

Beams to BRIS

This. Beams was = 9th in the Brownlow this season unless I'm mistaken, where did Treloar finish?

Agree. Right now Beams is the better player. We should not be willing to throw anything else in.

Only thing I'm wondering is if GWS get too much?

.

Let's put it this way Id rather have Treloar on the list today than Beams.

Given that Id throw in Sinclair if it made it compelling to GWS.
I've made it no secret I have serious concerns over Sinclair

maybe 3rd round as well went too far :-)

Treloar on the list brings genuine positivity and excitement to this football club.

I'd rather have him on the list, but that's now taking into account that it appears Beams is a bit of dick.

I obviously rate Sinclair higher than you so we're going to disagree, but to me he's not a throwaway player we should just include into a trade. He's one of the only lads we've got who possess genuine leg speed, he's also hard at it and he's disposal has been consistently on the up.

He would certainly bring genuine positivity, I agree, but I don't want us to to give more than we have to.

Then pick 25 to the Roos for Greenwood.

So we give up Beams for Treloar and Greenwood.

It's a win, win, win in my book.

GWS GIANTS @GWS_Giants
Contrary to speculation, @AdamTreloar is very much a required player and will not be traded. End of story.

sinclair will be a very good footballer for us. would not even come into consideration other than by supporters who see a chance to offload him.
