The possibility of GWS being interested in Dayne is great, means I can make another ridiculous trade proposal that results in the Pies getting picks and Cameron McCarthy
Sooooooooooooooo,
We send Dayne and pick 30 to GWS for Cameron McCarthy, picks 4 and 21.
We send Harry, picks 4 and 48 to Melbourne for picks 2 and 23.
We then use pick 23 to obtain Levi from the Kangas.
We lose Dayne, Harry, picks 30 and 48.
We gain Levi, McCarthy, picks 2 and 21.
We use pick 2 on either Petracca or Brayshaw, pick 8 on Darcy, and pick 21 on Clem Smith.
Happy days .

This is the most fair trade for all 3 clubs. The lions and the Giants get the players and picks they want, and we get a player that will be a great midfielder going forward. Considering we have put years of time into Beams, Treloar will be at that standard in a year or two, if we want to get something worth while out of this trade season we need to make a trade like this.Joel wrote:I'd do this:
Pick 5 + Patfull to GWS
Treloar to COLL + Pick 25 to Coll (from GWS)
Beams to BRIS

Great for the dogs but not as much for us or especially GWSStupied wrote:Beams to Brisbane
Griffin to GWS
Treloar + 21 (Lions)to Pies
Pick 4(GWS) + pick 5 (Lions) to Dogs
Sounds fair?
Beams to Brisbane.
Griffin + Patful +25 (Lions) to GWS. (they keep 21 for Patful and 7 for Jaksch)
Treloar + 6 (dogs) to Pies.
Pick 4 (GWS) + Pick 5 (Lions) + 30 (Pies) to Dogs.

Nope.
Beams > Griffin.
Treloar + 5 to Pies.
4 plus 21 to Dogs.
Treloar is younger and in our side would be our second best player.

Really depends on what GWS knows of his intent next year.Breadcrawl wrote:Dogs third rounder to Pies and you gotta deal.Stupied wrote:Beams to Brisbane

But Treloar is going nowhere. End of story. He is very much a required player
If they think they have a year of speculation and dragged out efforts to get him to stay , as it stands he is worth it.
IF though they get Griffith and Beams it would make the loss bearable this year and keep the members reasonably happy.

No way do the dogs get to keep pick 6 and receive 4 and 5 for Griffin.
Stuff that for a joke.
GWS have clearly stated that Treloar wont be traded so it's all moot anyway.
Looking at his stats he seems very similar to Beams though not as big a goal kicker at this stage.
Like Beams there is a bit of an unbalance when it comes to rebound 50's compared to inside 50's.
I dare say like Beams he works harder forward of the ball than behind it.
What price goals though?

in a few years treloar will be one of the comp's best. would so love to see him in black and white.MJ23 wrote:^ keep saying it.
I watch a lot of Treloar live.
He is worth a straight swap.
Look forward to revisiting these comments in a few years - will take one, two at most
