That,s a question DH & NB could answer
That they check ready mades like Greenwood &;Varcoe currently 25yrs & 26yrs
physicaly & temprement etc.very crucial to end result
If they meet our needs its like for like age wise at least for Harry /Dane
But what i find interesting is the "nobody wants to go to Pies" idea

A no from me, injury prone doesn't do enough. I would say a big yes to the other one that wants out though.Heizenberg wrote:we don't want varcoe do we?
Looks like Brisbane are going to do okay in the trade period.

I'd gladly take him if he can reproduce his heroics in the 2011 gf.
He was a big factor for the cats being able to win that game.
I suspect they feel that he has passed his best if they are willing to trade him for Clark. He looked like that in the final against north. Maybe a change of scenery can get him back to his best form. If there's a chance of this happening we should take it.

Agree, he showed a bit as did Armstrong when he got his chance. I'm not saying these guys can't play. Just that nearly every supporter anticipates that the kids will force them out of the side, so why draft/trade them if they are never going to be anything other than fringe players. I know you need some senior players around the kids but does it have to be players like this. A player like Varcoe who the Cats seem to throw on the trade table every year is not what we want/need.swoop42 wrote:Moneyball fail!jackcass wrote:Put Varcoe in the same bracket as Russell, Armstrong, Young, S Buckley... would rather take a chance in the draft.
P.S-A bit harsh on Young. He was okay this season.
