So if he wasn't attending the Copeland trophy night, why wasn't he with his sick dad in Brisbane, instead of celebrating with a few mates in a Melbourne pub?stoliboy wrote:Beam's brother just posted this on twitter:

Yeah huge pay rise next year in factor at all.
A lot of people find themselves working away from family and in the same position take a pay cut to move home. Had Bris traded in good faith and beams turned up at the b&f there may have been best wishes to him and his family.
Irony will be when claye can't get a game cause Dayne and the midfielders we were after keep him out.

Irony is, had it not been his brother they prolly would have offered him up.MJ23 wrote:stoliboy wrote:Beam's brother just posted this on twitter:

May Dayne get his wish to play with his brother, when Dayne drops form at Brisbane and both are playing in the NEAFL.MJ23 wrote:Made me laugh. Spot on.Museman wrote:Irony is, had it not been his brother they prolly would have offered him up.MJ23 wrote:

Brisbane wouldnt be the first team to draft a brother to secure a champion. we put up with Cameron and Jason Cloke for about three years each so that Vladimir Cloke would send his son travis to Collingwood! I remember when we got Jason cloke. MM told me that this was precisely the plan. Travis was all of 13 at the time.MJ23 wrote:Made me laugh. It would seem that Claye believes his own bull shet. No one said the Beams boys were particularly bright.stoliboy wrote:Beam's brother just posted this on twitter:

MY thoughts exactly, well said, thank the Lord that's over, now we can all take a chill pill, and hope for the best, we did pretty well IMHO !Big T wrote:Good riddance. I am glad with what has happened and believed we will be the winners in the long run.

I'm warming more and more to this deal.
I'm not too thrilled at getting Varcoe, but reckon Greenwood is just what we need; a hard in and under midfielder who is good overhead. However, I see Crisp as having enormous potential. I didn't know anything about him, but having watched highlights from his last few games of this year, and the fact that he's only 21 yrs old, he could prove to be a steal. A 190 cm hard, tough, running and marking midfielder. We've all been crying out for a big midfielder and he may well fit the bill. Of course, both he and Greenwood may both prove to be duds, but I sense we may have some goodens here guys.

I'm glad this is all over.
Now we can focus on the players that are actually going to play for the Pies.
Greenwood is a plus.
Varcoe, meh, undecided about this one.
Crisp, I don't know much about him but the 17 year old was quite happy to find out he is coming the Pies (he followed his progress at Brisvegas via Supercoach).
