just came across some figures on Saturday's line ups that make the win even more commendable.

Avg. age

Dons - 25y 365d
Pies - 24y 190d

Total games played

Dons - 2479
Pies - 1701

Players with less than 50 games experience

Pies - 12
Dons - 5

What was the other one, we had 8 Anzac Day debutantes? Wow, that's impressive!

And the 80-odd more possessions they had, which went around in circles going nowhere...

Most enjoyable day at the footy I've had for a long time.
The first quarter was a finals type atmosphere & I got swept right up in it!
The wins are certainly more enjoyable when you're the underdog & we're back in that phase; The hunter not the hunted,.... AND on the way up!

How good was the tackling?... I know we lost the tackle count but I don't think we missed one. Stuck'em like glue! Great to watch.

Frost is coming along nicely. Sometimes I wonder if he lacks a little confidence [understandable as a young fella playing a KEY role in defence] and then he'll just leave his man in the goal square & effect a perfect spoil 30m away on someone else's man who's all on their own!!!! Sensational!

Unfortunately, I've lost patience with White.
I love the potential but gee the current reality is so disappointing! Maybe give him a run in the 2's??? OR try him as shut down defender??
Having said that I've always liked the idea of running 3 talls up forward so he'll need to be replaced - Reid [we probably need him down back?]?.. Brown perhaps?
It's a worry.

Yep, as Lethal described them yesterday, useless disposals.

Basically they are ahead of us by a season and a half in terms of on field experience and 18 months in age.

My good mate Gazza, a one eyed dons fan, is whingeing to me that "Elliott was so far over the line when he kicked that goal, he bought a pie and the guy is still chasing him for the money ". How best to reply to that little whinge. ?? (to be fair, he did say we were the better team, especially our back lines. )

ask him if wayne harmes paid for his pie back in '79 and whether it was the same pie seller.

Harmes had the Sheriff come around to his house to take his plasma in lieu of the cost of the pie. As for Jamie's goal, since when does a goal equal twenty points?

Simple mate, just tell him his club are drug cheats (on top of their 90s rorting of the salary cap) and a disgrace to the game.

Just trot out our standard trivia question: Who kicked 5 goals in the 1990 Grand Final?

Just trot out our standard trivia question: Who kicked 5 goals in the 1990 Grand Final?
And then ask him who kicked 6 goals in the 2015 ANZAC Day clash?

If you answer to both is Essendon, congratulations, you win a free shot of Melanotan II, guaranteed to give you vampire-esque sensitivity to sunlight and turn your moles the brightest shade of green you'll ever see! In the plus column though, you'll have the best tan you could ever imagine...

^ According to James Hird it also gives you a permanent raging hard-on. Not sure if that goes in the plus or minus column :P
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?
