We're a much better side than Carlton and if we dish up what we produced last week against Essendon this game should be won by a comfortable margin but this is Carlton and I've seen Carlton win matches against us when they were severe underdogs. The most notable matches that comes to mind in the last decade or so was round 3 2002 (Carlton were wooden spooners that year), round 4 2008 and round 15 2012 so I can never relax against this team.

I'm really hoping Swan plays but assuming he's a last minute withdrawal then I would be happy to see De Goey in the side. It will be interesting to see if Bucks starts Karnezis this time but I have a feeling he'll be the sub this week again especially as the VFL side only played just last Sunday.

I'm anxious about this and I wouldn't be surprised if Carlton get a fast start especially with Mick's recording breaking milestone as coach but as the hype fades throughout the match we'll work our way into this and hopefully obtain our fourth victory. Win this and I think we'll be sitting 2nd on the ladder which is a terrific way to start the year!

GO PIES!
If we win this, you know what to do...

I might vomit.

Nerves kicking in.

Man I want to win and preferably easily so I can relax and enjoy.

While all the attention is on them this is a massive game for us IMHO.

If we can back up after last week with another win in a big game it will be another step forward with this young group and a confirmation of the improvement we perceive we are seeing.

Did I say I might vomit?

Can't believe they've screwed PK once again.

Why do we continually select the same players as subs?

Give him a proper go at it FFS.

Jameison is a big out for them.

Yeh, im pretty nervous, 1970 and 79 hurt me badly, but I just think if we bring the game we beat the dons with, this peaheart mob cant stay with us for too long, even their own fans call gibbs and murphy peahearts. I just cannot see us losing, they don't have many weapons, cant see em matching Elliott, pendles, swan, taylour adams, cloke and our backs should go pretty well. I will stick to my original tip, Pies by around 34 points, we should run it out pretty well too.

It's poor selecting IMO, PK isn't the sub type, he tends to work himself into games, I'd have gone with (believe it or not) Freeman to let him use his pace in the last, him or Degoey, but on the other hand I'm happy both those boys will get full games in the VFL.

He was a gimme for being the sub this week.

5 days is just too short a turnaround, sorry for Patty but it would be reckless to give him the full game.
