We fumbled far to much tonight.
Elliot will never be an A grader until he stops fumbling the ball.
Armstrong was not great.
The midfield was beaten.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Wake up call or reality check or whatever you would like to call it.But the fact is,we have played two half decent teams this year, and we've been thrashed in both games. We are a long, long way from being a top side, and far too many of our players just aren't up to it.

If there's any good to come out of this game, then hopefully it shakes up our match selection process.Hopefully from now on the match committee selects players who are actually playing well in the reserves, and don't gift games to players who really don't deserve being promoted.

I would have went with De Goey over Broomhead.

Broomhead is going to be a player but after missing a week and not impressing against Essendon the stronger De Goey seemed like a better fit against the cats this week.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

Not for along time have I been so frustrated watching Collingwood it reminds me of the time I crashed my 4wd into a street sign when listening to a game on the radio whilst driving. I Just cannot fathom what goes on in the change rooms before a big farking match as this was! according to some people the club can do no wrong but what a diabolical disaster the three inclusions this week were. Three players way undersized, wittts in the brain department. We tried to play bruise free footy and you can't do that with the skills we don't have. I cannot stand getting jumped at the start but it never ever ends and it's becoming a joke. The bigger teams do to us every time. Better planning needs to go into these matches that we are favourites for because our coaches/players and club get ahead of themselves. A stark reality check.

Soccer players kick a round ball, do more walking than gut running and don't have 30 seconds to kick the ball with lactic acid burning through the legs.
That's not to excuse clokes misses but don't compare them to a game that uses a round ball.
I've played both games at high levels. Cloke is a dud. He would be dropped in a soccer team. Forwards are paid to score goals. Not miss 2-3 shots in a game from 20 metres out. One may be excusable. 3? It's not as if Cloke has never played with an oval ball before. He is hopeless and the laughing stock of the AFL when it comes to kicking. Kicks like his old man. The only positive for his old man was he was a ruckman and it really didn't matter if they could kick like a 90 year old grannie. You're giving Cloke too much latitude. he gets paid 800 big gorillas! That's a lot of money for 22 games a year. Kick the f....g thing straight you moron!

Check out the SC scores. I don't think I have seen such a poor list of numbers, ever! And I've been playing this game since year 1.

[quick pop in amongst the inevitable vents]

Our young players should have learned a hell of a lot from that game, it was like an accelerated learning module which was always at risk of happening after the last two weeks of poor opposition and now up against a proud team fighting for respect.

{translation} we got took to school. Big time.

Take out the first quarter and that 3 minute burst in th last and we can put together some positives. Good time for that to happen, I'm tipping it wont happen again this season.

Might I just add that we changed a winning structure by dropping Gault and playing Witts, and we payed a terrible price.

Broomhead wasn't ready to come back in either, and although Armstrong should good signs in the 2nd half, I'd have preferred De Goey and Marsh as the ins, for structure if nothing else

I agree that Cloke should be doing a lot better but a soccer ball is very easy to kick compared to a football. I disagree with the comparison between the two.

We got smashed in the middle.

I agree. We have Pendles, Swan and Adams. That's a good midfield and we were comprehensively beaten in the clearances. Severely beaten. Most of Swan's clearances out of the middle are rushed shots to the forward line without any target.

He needs to have a look at the way Judd has 80% efficiency. Judd finds targets. Swan gets a lot of the ball and he sprays it.
