how stiff was langer

Post by hoggy »

i reckon it was just the media pressure that forced ned flanders (buchanan) to drop langer. the media did it to slater a couple of years ago and elliott, they tried with hayden against the windies and they tried with punter in india. he only had 2 bad games.

as mike sheehan would say "what do you think"

No way Hoggy.
Time to give Martyn a run, the poor bastard has been 12th man for the last 2-3 years.
He deserves to be given a run, Justin has been having trouble lately and Marto has being performing.
End of story.

and while they were at it they should have dropped slater and let katich have a go up the order. nothing like caning the poms on debut to get a few easy runs, hope he's in for the lords test.

Langer had struggled for a while, and had his chance. I reckon if he'd made 50 is the second dig a Exxex he'd been in.

Anways, what a top day of test cricket...400+ runs and 12 wickets. Beats the crap out of one dayers....

and I forgot how much I hate the poms...lets crush em Oz!

Agree, Marto deserves an opportunity. Although, I never thought he would play for Australia again after that close test against Sth Africa years ago when he froze and left all the scoring to McDermott and the other tailenders before getting out with a soft dismissal.

Don't take it personally Dip, I continually suffer flashback to 77, 81 and 85 series. Watched most of them on TV and I hated getting done by you lot whilst we showed absolutely no heart at all. You can cope with losing but when you show nothing it is painful. Once he games done and dusted, its beer O'clock anyway, so we chill a little.

Its probably a bit like you lot and Jerry at football, so take a GHLAY in Sept (5th?) and you'll see what I mean. (Or Tot v Arse)

Why do I live here? The balmy summer days of course!
