Crowd at the G tonight
They are saying 95,000..... Please! Give me a break. A few sections empty. Have a look at it. Putting a bit of spin on that.

Maybe because it was a neutral venue (although it seemed from TV there was a NSW bias). Given it hadn't been in Melbourne for 21 years it was probably an opportunity by many NSW and QLD supporters to travel to Melbourne. I dare say a hefty part of the crowd would have been interstate fans.Golden Gordon wrote:Amazing. No more proof needed that Melbourne is the sporting capital of Australia. They couldn't even fill the Sydney Olympic Stadium for the last Origin match.
It was actually a decent game. I gave up watching league years ago. But I tuned in last night and it was quite free flowing compared to some of the boring grind-fests. It was almost like the referees were told to try and keep it flowing.
Some very controversial try/no try rulings. Here in QLD I am sure there will be plenty of claims of it being rigged. And I wouldn't be totally surprised.
Poor form by those who couldn't observe the silence for Ron Clarke. Never seen such disrespect.

Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.
