So hubby and are sitting in the local mzungu cafe in Kisoro Uganda ( only place that has decent coffee!) and a wedding procession is happening in the Main Street - the bride and heaven knows how many women in beautiful bright clothing packed in like sardines all standing in the back of a run down ute singing and chanting.

The groom and another 15 or so men in bright suits followed soon after all packed in a Corolla that had seen better days with the wedding cakes tied to the roof and in close a pursuit a bloke on a bike with 4 young kids decked in satin shirts and vest!

Kind of different from the vintage, classic wedding cars we see :D

[^Conversely, but for the pissed off thread, the lack of air conditioning (and mobile access, for that matter) on London trains is an international disgrace. I didn't travel on them today but I experienced them last year, so I can only imagine what it was like today, FFS :x].

^Actually, I stir the locals, but I must confess I hate the heat like my father did. Got the fan on lying in bed as we speak!

You were born here, right? (My father was born in Yorkshire). I'm gradually getting to know the map a bit.

Last night I was watching the Marngrook Footy Show and Jake King was talking about Nat Fyfe and he said "Opposition teams watch him like a glove".

My dad was born in Yorkshire, mum in Gillingham Kent, my sister and I in ilfracombe, Devon, and we lived in cotton end Bedford, also.

I don't know the map at all!

My hate for the cold could have been caused by three years living in Cyprus then back to England before coming out here!

It's hilarious hearing them lose their minds about the 'heatwave' they're experiencing at the moment.

I'd take 30 degrees on a summer day in Australia any day of the week compared to some of the 40+ temperatures we've experienced over the years in January and February.
