Feels like the last 4 years have all been the same

Just gutted, don't see a Premiership coming in a while, or real signs of progress in this group - same things are happening again as the last 3 years

Flat
It's called class and composure, and we don't have it. Can't have the likes of Toovey, Brown and Frost all playing together with only Moore, Langdon and Williams to help. Need Reid and Scharenberg so badly in defence it's not funny. We get ZERO composure out of D50, and very little inside F50. This team needs to evolve to weed out straight out blue collar and balance it with more class. JDG will help...
Or Treloar into the side

If that could happen

I don't understand the gameplan either, in these games why the instructions are always just throw it on the boot...
We just got nutted at the clearances...

Last year we were F'd in the A by injuries and lacked the talent to win a game.

This year we are fit and healthy and still getting fukking beaten in games we should be winning.

The improvement is there but it isn't what people were pulling themselves over in the past 6 weeks, certainly not enough to be thinking premierships any time soon.

Pretty good effort, a few head scratching decisions by umps (hands in the back?? - both arms around a forward not allowing him to go to the ball called play on, etc.), but we should never have let this be so close.
Agree. Gifted them a couple of easy goals in the 1st and made it a tough ask to fight back into it.

Please watch the last 3 weeks games again... then watch the same games from this time last year. You cannot be serious?
We were 8-3 last year...

Same old dumb decision making, three blokes charging at the ball carrier to gang tackle, poorly structured forward line

Same things are happening again
We just got nutted at the clearances...

wet weather footy tonight dictated it needed to be about territory. beter to kick it long than get caught fiddly about with handball. only thing is our kicks tend to go to an oppo player rather than favour us.

weight of numbers, create the turnover. failing that, create the stoppage. our game plan is predicated on it.

There's still time to think it through, not have 3 people charging all the time

depends on what our spare man was doing. hard to see on tv.
Our spare man wasn't forward.
That much blind freddy could see.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Larabee wrote:Only saw the second half of the game. Pies were tremendous and extremely unlucky to lose. Port's last goal was from a deadset hands in the back in the pies defender. That is paid 100% but not tonight. Pies couldn't get a bounce or a free but what's new about that.

Sidebottom is a magician. There's no doubt about it.

Last 3 games losses by 7/10/3. Disappointing but character building. The side is coming together well. And yep, 2016 we'll give it a shake.

To all you death riders, go and support another team ya muppets.
Well said.

Anyone know where our extra man was? I'd imagine at the stoppages since we couldn't win clearances at even strength.

Yep, alarm bells went off once I heard "no changes", then Williams out.

3 weeks running you've cost us the game.
Don't start me on Elliott. Cannot fukking believe he dropped that SODA in the first quarter, shot on goal gone begging, then wooshka up the other end for a Port Goal.
The rot set in early tonight, didn't really think we could catch them from there. He's due for a spell in the reserves.
Fasolo can join him. I'm already up Cloke in another thread.

However, the four goal head start we gave them at the start burnt us.
Way too many arseholes weren't switched on, and we paid the price.
Catch-up football sucks, and is totally amplified again in the wet.

Chad and Wines remain my fav footballers outside of our great club.
Even if they are soaked in McAvaney's jizz...
