New recruit from the Rookie List 2001

Newsflash !

Collingwood is to name a new recriut to join the Seniors from our Rookie list. This is going to be announced this week - possibly tomorrow and I think it is going to be a long term injury replacement.

The contenders are....

Leigh Sheean #39
Chris Odell #40
Jason Heath #41
Nathan Lovett-Murray #43
Andrew Hill #44
Steven Rode #46

Unfortunatley, I have not seen that many "junior" games. So, your guess is as good as mine.

how about wasley being the one to go onto the injury list? didn't he break his leg, ankle, heart, etc.

Cause if you are i think that is so unfair he was just starting to show some form before he got injured and its bad luck for him
i wish him all the best things havnt gone wassa's way this year but this guy can play footy i hope collingwood keep him for another year so he can show everyone what a good footballer he is.

Hill has looked fantastic for willy, kicking a few goals
it will be interesting to see if he gets a run before cloke or richards

I attended the information night tonight and I had the opportunity to be handed the microphpone from Neil Balme and asked the question to Malty (and boy was I nervous). The question I asked was...."will there be a player from the Rookie List be promoted to the seniors due to Guy Richards being injured and having an operation which will be taking him out of the game for the rest of the year"
Basicly, the answer from Malty was honest and not just a simple yes or no. He said something like that the only way for a rookie listed player to be promoted is IF a player would fit STRAIGHT into our best 22. They would not promote a player for the sake of it. But, he did make mention of one player with potential and that was.....Hill.
McGuire then made a joke about the Pies being tight...Money wise.

seriously i'm not looking forward to the silly season because we have to cut our list by at least 3 to get to 35 (probably more since we have to get at least 3 draft picks i think) and players like wasley and ukovic will be under pressure. i hope we don't get rid of him because of his injury, that's just not fair
