He wants to stay at Collingwood but why rush it? He knows that he needs to improve his currency if he is to get the best deal out of us and playing footy is the only way he can do that.
Renegotiating a contract while you are injured or in the magoos does not afford you much bargaining power.

My brothers daughter knows his girlfriend and she said it didn't seem fair to put a price on his head when he hadn't played senior footy and that's why he wants to wait until the end of the year. Pretty confident he will stay

yes, you'd like to think he might take into account how the club has treated him since being drafted (though the club has its own vested interest) but he has to do what's ultimately best for him and his opportunities for playing at the highest level.

She's an Adelaide girl, but she's moved to, and is well settled in Melbourne.
